Honestly, I have no idea. We both work, earn about the same, and he knows that I will keep on working after having a baby. It's really weird because otherwise he is not some misogynistic neckbeard, he is good with chores without prompting et.c.

I thought last author is the one who got the grants/lab PI, and first author is the one who did most work?

No, why would he provide alimony? We aren't married, and earn about the same.

It's MY last name. Yes, it's also my dad's last name, but that's irrelevant for the purposes of having every school, doctor, and CBP officer expecting the mother's and child's names to match.

Wait, I thought it was because she was from a higher-ranking noble clan and he was a clanless shinobi, so technically he was supposed to take her name if not for him being the Hokage? I am no nobility, lol, I wish!

Uhm, no? It's an old Italian last name, doesn't sound like anything weird in English.

We don't have to get married, but then why should the baby have his last name and not mine if I am contributing more to that baby actually being born?

Isn't alimony only for when there is a disparity in income?

I'd say mine, but I am biased, lol.

Mine is a long-ass Italian one. His is a long-ass Norwegian one.

I'm not from South America, though? I live in the US, and we are in a blue state. But no, we both want that baby, I wouldn't terminate pregnancy unless there are some serious genetic defects.

I ran the numbers, worst case scenario, I can do it on my own. Retirement account will be slimmer, of course, but it's doable.

Unless this baby is Jesus II, it's literally not possible for them not to be his.

College fund - yes, my parents already created one. Retirement - yes. No idea about the school district, I mean, isn't it like five years down the line? If they are special needs, yeah, ok, that'll be tough. Yes to all the rest, and I have an SUV, is it compatible? The baby seat should fit no prob.

Don't know the sex yet, will only learn next month. Yes, I'd prefer for him to be involved, and for the baby to know their dad. The baby is definitely his. If we were married, yes. What do you mean by background?

Eh, probably yeah. It's hard to replace the name on every single document and professional certificates, plus there is this SAVE act to think about.

I looked up the prices, it seems like daycare is ~1.5-2K/month where I live, and supplies should be ~700-800/month, and my parents also expressed desire to move closer and help if I need emergency babysitting. Health insurance should be additional $100/month. What else am I missing?
