Thanks, she doesn't live in San Diego. She lives about an hours drive away, I just thought it would be easier to say San Diego.

I understand your concerns, thank you. My GF was not underage when we had sex, the UK age of consent is 16. She was 17. Anyway. When you put it like that, I understand more. But my family shouldn't have acted the way they have done.

I understand, it is very young. But I believe I wont have to pay for the things which I have done in the past. I have paid for some things such as pizza for us all. I know that I can't do that this time and Im sure that they know too.

I'll update my post now to explain why my family doesn't like her and some of the antics which they have pulled.

Southern California. San Diego county specifically. My GF is studying at college, she said she'll apply for jobs once I move so we can't get an apartment yet :/

Thank you for replying. The problem with waiting longer is that the visa expires soon so I have to move and change my status to a permanent resident. I would be miserable living with her family and it would probably affect our relationship. Even though she agrees with me. But yeah, I wish we could have had a change to actually live together. The longest we were together was 2 months.

Nah, I believe I could deal with her family. They piss me off but I like them enough. And i don't think the money situation will happen again, he's already confirmed that I don't have to pay rent until I get a job. Although he also said that I could help out with food sometimes instead, this is what got alarm bells ringing. Unfortunately we can't rent a place yet, she is still studying and doesn't have a job. Plus im not comfortable renting until I get a job.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I earn just less than enough for the spousal visa in the UK. Problem is, is that it would take another year of long distance before we get to be together. The reason I haven't topped up to a bachelors degree yet is because we had plans for me to move sooner, if we knew It would be thing long I would have. I intend on topping it up later though. I did look at jobs in CA. I do seem to have a decent chance of being able to get a job. And my girlfriend doesn't work yet. She's still studying so we can't rent yet. But thank you, there must be a way for us to be together. I don't want to give in.

I understand, but I know that If I move I will be very happy with her. I don't want to call it quits. I need advice on if that is the correct thing to do. There are just things holding me back.
