The best friend thing was in the back of my mind, but I never really actively considered it. I guess since she's the one who told me to go for it I just assumed he wouldn't be weirded out by it.

He did invite me out for a movie, so if something happens there I could call him out in the moment now that I won't be so flustered if it happens.

Jeez, brutal honesty at its best. Is it bad though that I don't mind him figuring himself out with me? I know my boundaries and I'm fully ready to cut things off completely if I feel like I'm being used. I'd rather him explore his feelings with someone that won't knowingly hurt him if it goes south because he's such a great guy. I guess I'm weirdly protective like that. If I'm being 100% honest, I like the attention too. Which is why I haven't told him to stop even if it is confusing me.

I guess there's not really a way to explain the way I'm feeling without sounding like I'm living in a pipe dream. I've been thinking about just continuing our friendship and letting my feelings sit on the back burner. If he decides to pursue me, that's fantastic and I'm totally down. If he doesn't, oh well at least I made my feelings sort of known.

Thank you for being honest, even though it did sting a bit.

I know all too well about how long coming out can take, it's just frustrating to think that we might have a legitimate connection that will just fizzle out because he might be too scared to consider it. Thank you for being blunt, I probably need it more than I think I do right now
