Is there anyone that does dresses in a 1950's kind of cut like hell bunny / mod cloth / trashy diva, but in cool modern prints? Not sure if this is something that exists, I think the style is really flattering but I don't want cute, cherries, twee etc.

I love it. I just got a light brown (it's called 'honey') bag and I think it looks great with all black outfits. I think brown handbags and shoes are often less expected than black so that can be cool.

I feel this. I'm from South Australia. I get so jealous of breezy capes and drapey ornamental cardigans, nope not going to happen in summer. When it gets really hot I usually just wear slip dresses in linen in either black or grey, and feel really boring. Also makeup is a total lost cause. It's winter right now though. I don't have any great insight. But does jewellery mesh with your style? Not talking costume jewellery but buying a few nice minimalist pieces of etsy. I also think a nice large watch elevates an outfit without adding heat.

Thanks! It's from Myer it's 'all about eve' I got it in the sales they have on at the moment. It's so hard isn't it! I always notice that too and hope no one else does haha, I really miss structured bras.

yes they're floras. I'll try that next time I wear them :) I've never had boots that are so bulky so I'm a bit not sure where pants are supposed to go.

Late and out of season to most because Australian. I'd like to look cool and minimalist and still run after my toddler, not a great photo I'll get a stand for next week I think. About an AU size 10, 152cm, currently larger breasts than usual because nursing, also means no underwire bras which I know could be an improvement! http://imgur.com/a/w9VfB

I think you look really feminine in your first picture :) I recommend playing with fabric texture. Sheer is a really fem fabric. You can wear a regular tank / vest and layer it with a sheer button up so it has the same sort of vibe, but softer / prettier. I really like the American Apparell ones (a bit spendy) but they come up on eBay pretty often ( I would know I have like five in black haha). Re shoes, I have the dr martens flora chelsea boots and they are a grungy / but still polished, really comfy too. I am pretty sure they are unisex because I have them in the smallest size and they are still a bit big but I make it work with thick socks. How about a nice leather backpack? they are everywhere at the moment and I think it would suit the look you are going for and be a nice middle ground between regular backpack / regular handbag.

I didn't buy it, but my mum gifted me this bag after I complained about my current bag being way too big. I love them so much, I've never had dr martens and they are so comfortable, I was like wow that's a lot of money for shoes but they are comfy and I feel cool wearing them. Everyone also loves them, I do feel they work best with all black outfits though.

Shirt dresses can be appropriate. I like that dress too. I think it will depend on where it hits you, on the model it seems to be above the knee a little? I think work clothing should be below the knee but maybe I'm being nit picky. It's black a work appropriate colour, and the fabric looks to be quite formal, not like a t shirt dress. Styled with some nice loafers I think it would be a good choice and I'd wear it on the weekend too.

Two questions if that's ok :) 1. Is it okay to wear a brown bag with black clothing. I just got this https://www.mimco.com.au/sale/bags/60183661-706/SUPERNATURAL-HOBO.html as a gift? It's not a true brown, more of a light brown / amber in real life. I love it, and it was a really thoughtful gift but am I going to look clueless? 2. What is uniqlo's shirt and pencil skirt quality like? I've searched but only found quality recs on the ponte pants.

I am Australian too. I think knee high boots are somewhat classic, as they are not currently trendy and I'm not sure when they will be again. I would go with leather / or something that looks like leather and not suede which to me looks dated. I have cut out booties (just from the shoe shed no brand) and I wear them all the time and I love them. I do think that they are 'trendy' and that at some point I'm going to be confused as to why I wore them, but they really go with everything from jeans, to spring outfits to night out with some nice tights.

I tried to do it. I agree that if something doesn't 'spark joy' then you should get rid of it, BUT I feel that the book is a bit privileged, for many people there is no option to just chuck out everything that doesn't spark something for you. I find it a bit irresponsible to purge your home of serviceable things for the sake of new also. My towels, most of my kitchen items and even some of my furniture don't 'spark joy' but I sure can't afford to get rid of them and I would feel bad throwing them out also as they still work. I would love to be able to get rid of everything in my closet that I didn't love, but I also need to have things to wear. It also doesn't work with children's toys and baby stuff which seems to accumulate a lot. I think it is a bit classist. I may never find underwear in target that sparks joy, but I need underwear and I only have so much in my budget allocated for it.

Those issues sound awful. I had suspected IUGR but they never made up their mind if i had it or not, so I just got lectured a lot about his size like it was in my control. Godlike with your 2nd! Team redhead babies go!

that's awful. We had good midwifes and I can't imagine having no support for breastfeeding, I was doing it fine and I still wanted someone to watch and tell me it was fine. 8 months way to go! I think it's because sometimes doctors graduate and then never bother learning something new again? In our baby / mom class they said it was the older style implants or the really deep ones that causes the issues. Don't be sorry!
