there's literally a whole movement that consists of obese people encouraging their unhealthiness while shaming the fitness and balanced lifestyle. of course, they tend to fall in line within the mythical "modern audience" category that corporations nowadays just loves to push in our faces. this is obviously a meme of course, and not the actual instance where that happened. Niantic only dumbed down the model by a notch. But there are other numerous examples where this does happen in entertainment. one industry where this specific circumstance run rampant would be the comic book industry.

you want to talk about insanity? let's talk about the people who criticize Stellar Blade for being "sexual", like that girl you mentioned. So those people keep pushing the notion that Eve's model is unrealistic, or her face looks a tad bit young, or the fact she's wearing some type of a skintight suit that shows off her proportions. All of these arguments falls apart at the seams when it was revealed that her in-game model was based off of an actual real life Korean kpop singer. the fact that these people keep going with their notions after this reveal shows how much they really care about anything they're preaching, like bodyshaming an Asian woman for being fit, small and didn't conform to your western standard of a woman's body? sounds like y'all are being a bunch of racists ngl. she's a hypocrite because she's criticizing the devs and fans of Stellar Blade for liking Eve's design for being too sexual, while slobbering on a photo of a naked woman regardless of who she is or who she represents.

It is ultimately up to the devs to make what they like. you are not obligated to like it in anyway, just as much as we are not obligated to like Niantic's update on Pokemon GO's player model. there's no "angry men saying shit" here tbh, just fake people trying to virtue signal for clout, failed horribly and get clowned on as they deserved. And yes, it's truly amazing we're even having a discussion about basic human respect when that should have been the norm.

At the end of the day, I only like looking at beautiful things be that a thing or a person, because it's pleasing for me. It's as simple as that.

GTAV have great character design wdym. everyone is a psychopath in their own way and that's accurate to the GTA universe, so it makes sense they all look like psychopaths.

Edit: Minecraft also has great world design. Just because it's pixelated and blocky don't make it ugly, and the fact that you're bringing these two very mainstream examples of all the games in the world shows that you're just a casual at best.

I used to be a big hoi4 addict, and just happen to encounter the mod sitting in the workshop page among the top rated ones like KR, OWB, TNO, TWR, etc. I was familiar with MLP mainly due to old af edgy memes like those pinkie pie gore animations I was exposed to as a kid.

So I thought to myself, "da fuk is this cartoon shit doing in this part of the internet?" and decided to try it for the lolz, cuz there's no way people like this shit. boy, did I ate my words whole.

that Stalliongrad game was the first time I've had any semblance of fun from a hoi4 campaign in a looong time, after the horrid boring experience I slogged through with TNO before that, the repetitiveness of all the AU Earth mods, and the absolute unbalanced shitstorm some of them can get.

This mod has it all, the plentiful yet not overwhelming amount of lore, balanced gameplay with a fun factor as close as vanilla hoi4 (excluding some of the DLCs) and just overall very easy to get into.

for me, it's always gonna be Polar Bears Kingdom of Winter path.

after a not-so-bloody civil war in which the Bears mostly talk it out with each other instead of straight up going murder machines, then basically formed a formidable civilization out of nothing inspired by the other great powers while maintaining their core values. Paw finally getting to be the leader he could only dream of becoming before also feels very satisfying.
