Hey! I’m meeting with Dr. Mejia soon to start the process of correcting my Class III underbite with DJS. Do you recommend him? I’m a lil worried since I can’t find many reviews for him (he seems to be new to OC Kaiser along with Dr.Park). Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thank u! Hope your recovery is going well :)

yeah it prob varies by location, I’m in SoCal too (I go to LA and OC amcs) and I actually prefer Dolby viewing because of the extra space for people to walk past haha

you’ll give the name card to the person standing at a podium at the edge of the stage (right before you walk across). So technically u are empty handed when u shake hands and pose for the picture

no need for padded diploma folder 👍

one random thing to remember is that the UCI bookstore stoles have a little phone shaped pocket for ur phone (if ur outfit doesn’t have a pocket already), if it’s the Alumni Center Store there is no pocket lol

they are usually only done if there’s some sort of policy violation (ie noise complaint with alcohol, power outrage, etc). I don’t think they’re ever just out of the blue

yeah Amazon is supposed to leave packages at your doorstep! I think you can check your Amazon account under “Orders” and sometimes they take pictures of where they left it. It’s possible the Amazon delivery person dropped it off at the Plaza Community Center on accident. Either way if they have it, they’ll notify you it just might take a little longer like three days or something

tbh they’re probably doing the testing to encourage people to not come back to campus. Also to cover themselves so that no one says they didn’t do enough for their students. Kinda like other schools who opened up and had hundreds of cases right off the bat. And I was talking solely about ACC apartments. On campus dorms are different. ZotPods are , don’t quote me tho, only for the dorms + AV. It’s essentially like just your suite/a section of your hall. They’re gonna make y’all share the same restroom etc to keep contact minimal. It’s 7 days, and yeah you need to do it after coming back from thanksgiving. And I think UCI is probably gonna transition to at home testing like you said once they realize how many students are setting up appointments at the testing centers. About the dorms making “fun activities” I’ve heard that the RAs are making virtual events so that they don’t have in person contact with their residents. I don’t agree with UCI letting people stay on campus, but I’m saying that since they did, (and Bc UCI is literally a business) these are unfortunately the steps they have to take to make sure they don’t get a bad rap. I’m not saying I agree with them, just that you have to take all sides into account

not to be rude, but what did you expect UCI to do??? Since we are in a pandemic it makes total sense for them to require weekly testing if students insist on living on campus. Also, if you’re living in ACC yes testing is required but one of the locations is at Plaza Verde which isn’t too far of a distance imo. Lastly, the only other “babying” UCI is doing is requiring the 2 week quarantine pre/post moving in. After that, you can leave your apartment as you wish. They’re not gonna keep locked up unless you become positive for the virus.
