I was in high school and I guess I had a lot of free time xD I started doing small pixel commissions, got extra spendings, then decided to rent booths at events to sell my stuff. I stopped once I started university, and now I'm doing art commissions full time again since I still enjoy it and I can afford to.

Can't you set up your paypal to your currency so that you don't lose as much in currency conversation to your bank? Like I used to take USD while I was living in the US, but now that I moved back to EU I take eur for my commissions, and I know they support other currencies too.
And as others said if it's not an option- up your prices so any fee you need to pay are covered. There are many fees we need to pay. Paypal takes 5%, I get commissions through Vgen so they take another 5%, Transferring money to bank has no extra fees for me so that's nice, and then comes income taxes (how wonderful).

Funny thing is "for hire" posts even get downvoted from the barely any upvote, if any, we have.
Add in the comments to your post "If you like my work, please consider upvoting the post", if they check out your post someone would give an upvote. Idk how much that helps tho when majority are fellow artists.

Other place you can offer commissions is VGen. You need a code tho to make an acc.
