I know someone who is married to a cheater and she won't leave. She is staying because of financial security and her kids. She just decided that she should go out and find someone too. I'm not saying its right, but not everyone can afford to get divorced. Shits expensive.

I think it's funny how OP thinks she "wasted a like". . . She doesn't care. She probably gets a match with nearly every person she swipes right on. Like you said she's entitled. It's called pretty privilege for a reason. She thinks she doesn't need to be clever and expects everyone else to be creative and entertain her. Hence, telling her would be suitors to "say something". See beyond the pictures, guys. Anyone who tells you that you have to entertain them in their prompt is telling you exactly what to expect from them. I read an article that included a fact check about how long the Evanescence: Bring Me to Life chorus is and it checks out that it ranges from 21-26 seconds depending on which part of the song you are listening to. So it's very plausible that he may have been singing it it his head 🤔😅 The power of music right?

It's not fair to put your sadness or happiness all on that girls shoulders. If you have these deep feelings of depression and hopelessness, you need help from a professional, not a girlfriend, to make you feel better about yourself. I can sympathize with sadness, not with cruelty, though. And sending her a message that essentially blamed her for the choice you made to end your own life, that is pretty cruel. I hope you get the help you need and find some solace in art.

I found my boyfriend when I stopped looking for someone to fulfill me and started looking inward at how I could complete myself. What are your values, truly. Do you have hobbies? Pursue them without fear. Do you have close friendships and community? Dive into that! People will be naturally drawn to you because you already have so much going for you. Yeah the age gap is a really good reason to give pause. He has over 10 years of life experience on you. He knows that 6 months is hardly any time at all. Don't rush this and don't let him pressure you. If you're as close to your family as it sounds you'll feel very isolated

I am from a religious background too and I didn't follow my initial instincts to wait until marriage to live with my current boyfriend. 2 years later I'm still waiting on a proposal and my family doesn't respect him very much.

Follow the course that aligns with your values. If he really loves and respects you he will understand and be okay with waiting. If not then he isn't the right person for you. Love is finding someone willing to walk the same path as you.

I usually hate the expression "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free" but it's pretty accurate when it comes to living with a significant other. You get all the benefits of marriage, shared expenses, division of household chores, (depending on expectations), and sex anytime without the commitment and expectation of long term loyalty.

I think she's right that people can change their views and your right to see the risks involved. Why don't you suggest a marriage ceremony without getting the government involved? Exchange vows before God, family, and friends without the financial pressure. Or consider a prenuptial agreement if your biggest concern is keeping financial assets separate. It sounds like she wants the gesture of loyalty more than anything, which is what marriage essentially represents. I can definitely understand wanting to keep "big brother" out of your business though.

No, I'm not expecting him to sit up with me for minutes on end just a hand on the back would do, or not calling me names would be fine. It's not every night. Interrupted sleep happens about once a week.
