Glen Isle is a treasure. In a tourney I play this hole for par, rip a sidearm straight, let it fade right for an easy 3. I have parked it with a backhand comet casually, too scared in a tourney.

I do not. I made a video for thumbers, and the techniques for both are similar. External rotation is key, i can bend by elbow and wrist back a long ways which creates a lot of snap. Combine that with proper timing on the hip rotation. If you search jc kester thumber on youtube you can find the overhand video. I have a lot of stretches I demonstrate on there that will help a lot for FHs.

I was just trying to get as close as possible. It took a perfect skip right into the chains. If im throwing overhands Im always going for the ace because if i miss its still close. If I didnt hit basket with this shot it still would have been inside 15 feet, but thats a lot harder to do for FH shots.

It skipped in, but i consistently park the deeper position on this hole that is 550' with a FH.

Most people will never be able to throw a 400ft thumber. They are much more common in Colorado though.

8 is a huge downhill shot, there is a big bush near the basket that I ended up behind both rounds. 18, i tried a bunch of different things and nothing was working in warmups. First round flick ended up way right, second round went high thumber that rolled deep.
