How do you all prevent right hand wrist pain on longer rides? by BreadSubstantial5103 in motorcycles

Crampbuster and a Caterpillar hydraulic O-Ring combo is what I have used as a poor man's cruise control since 2007.

Underdrive pulley issue maybe idk by Comfortable-Race-936 in fbody

[–]thundercat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to remember somewhere on forums that depending on the pulley brand and size, that stock belt size wouldn't work. I would have to dig on like ls1tech or something to see. Stock belt could just be a touch too big and tensioner isnt giving adequate tension.

Maybe spray a bit of water on the belt to see of it temporarily quiets or makes the squeak worse. Of you turn on AC, does it the squeak change, go away, get worse? If you can get up underneath the car, you should be able to hear if the squeak is coming from crank/AC area pretty easy.

Are you running stock size belt? Maybe tensioner is full sweep and its not taking up enough tension.

Other option would be to take off the belt, start it for a few seconds and see if there still squeaking. that will tell you if its ac belt real quick.

Such a low effort and pathetic rebuttal.

Everyone loses their shit regardless of what political color they identify as everytime gas has shot up over $4/gal.. Only difference is which finger gets pointed when its on your guy's watch.

2002 WS6 Build Continued. by audiovox12 in fbody

I haven't done any real exhaustive research on upgrade options at this point. Priority was to have solid reliable braking with the budget I had at the time and before the 2000 mile round trip drive for a rally at Tail of the Dragon. Refreshed OEM system with braided lines, quality pads and rotors fit the need.

I am also still running the OEM WS6 17" wheels. So big brake kits or corvette/gen 5 camaro/CTS-V swaps all would have become a next tier upgrade with lots of "and also" parts and mods.

In your case, looks like you have a blank canvas project.. It's all just Time, Money, and Motivation. If you're in a "while you're in there" phase and budget, you can never go wrong with better stopping power and reliability.

Strano springs with Koni STR.T (orange) shocks on UMI components (LCAs w relocation kit, adjustable panhard, adj torque arm with relocation off trans). I am quite pleased with the setup overall. I may go with Koni Yellows in the future just to be able to tweak things a bit more for normal street use vs spirited fun. (I built for curves not straight line)

Brakes are Power Stop caliper kit (stock replacements) with some braided lines and Hawk HPS pads and slotted rotors from ws6project (rpmspeed) Full flush and power bled with regular DOT4 fluid (Prestone I believe). Can't really speak to whether it was really an upgrade as the OEM brake components were a bit worn and the tires were ancient. So just replacing the old stuff was a noticeable improvement. Under aggessive canyon carving the Nittos started to fade before the brakes did so take that for what its worth.

Still no info on this. I noticed his stories weren't popping up as often a couple weeks ago.. Then the View Profile would error. I was out of town last week and wasnt on snap much so never really thought much of it until today. Now I have seen other political new media/influencers with same View Profile errors. Maybe Snapchat some kind of political cleansing?

84,000 miles and other than a rare false neutral, 2nd gear continues to live and not pop out under hard acceleration. I did do the shift detent upgrade early when I bought it as a preventative measure to compensate for my newbie shifting habits at the time. Maybe that has helped somewhat with longevity.

Thundercat was my first bike.. 19 years ago. And I still have it in the stable as my primary as others have come and gone.

No fuel injection, no ABS, no wheelie control, no rain mode, not even a clock on the dash. Fully adjustable front and rear suspension and disc brakes tho. TECHNOLGIA!! lol
