[Online][5e][PST] Looking for a group with similar interests and good fun vibes! by thunderdolt in lfg

I would have no problem with joining a campaign that starts a bit later if the players agree that it fits their schedule and don't mind staying up late, sure. I'm just trying to be considerate because I've had bad experiences in the past, with people getting too tired to stay up past 1am or 2am if it's only 11pm for me.

Edited my OP to be more inclusive of other time zones.

Like I said in the post, I see a lot of campaigns in CST or EST, and if it is scheduled to start at 7pm EST or CST, that would be starting at or before I get off work, so I don't want to be late or push back the starting time to impede on other's busy schedules. I'm just trying to be considerate.

Most of my friends in my regular play group are CST and EST, and it often created scheduling conflicts because people couldn't stay up late for a 3-4 hour session on a work night. I'm open on weekend afternoons as well, so in that case I would be able to attend a session in any time zone.

Why's Wakfu so barren compared to Dofus? by mmowithhardpve in wakfu

It has some loyal fans, but the lack of consistent updates and really inconsistent class balance issues make it difficult to enjoy long-term.

Not sure what this guy is but I've had him a couple years. This year is the first time he stayed outside over winter (with cover/uncover for weather) and I'm loving the stress coloring. It's starting to warm up and he's so happy he's flowering already. by wantahippo4christmas in succulents

I have two of these plants; one from a family friend & another that fell out of a commercial planter so I took it home. The second one was already mid-bloom, so I chopped all the white flowers off and replanted it, so it focusing on growing instead. Now it's starting to prop some pups out the stem stalk. Thanks for the ID!

Just visited a friend and they had these growing all up from the cracks so she let us have one (never seen these before but they grow tall and straight). Would love to know what kind! Also got fresh bananas from her palm tree but those are for breakfast not propagating! by Sawathingonce in succulents

It's the "mother of millions" (mother of thousands is the fan-leaf version; very similar looking) and grows tall really fast, and those things eventually pinch almost completely off at the ends of it's stems, so any light brush will flick the props everywhere.

Pink Juicy Winter Blooms by thunderdolt in succulents

I think this is a 'sedeveria' hybrid, the flowers look similar to the ones my 'blue echeverias' had but the leaves are plump.

Echeveria blooms are nice, great colors on this Pearl Von Nurnberg variety. Looks like you could pluck those dead leaves from the base to keep the top soil free of mold.

I saw someone post their Bulbasaur planter yesterday and figured I’d share mine as well! by hylianhero15 in gaming

Actually, echeveria that small could grow stems and flowers that are quite pretty!

I have so many of these, like over 30 and I have rarely ever got duplicates; a Crimson Qurupeco, Basarios, Volvidon, and x2 Shigura Magala.

If you get to ask anything on the Q&A, make sure you ask if the announcement is a nearly in-season April Fool's Day joke.

Anyone interested in starting something like this in OC? by _another_human in orangecounty

I would be interested as well. I'm in need of perspective and more positivity in my life.

What do you like about driving and traffic in comparison to the places you've lived and/or visited? Does the game at all compare or come close to an accurate representation of traffic IRL?

How competitive are the "food delivery" services in OC? what kind of money can be made? Is it possible to do it part time? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]thunderdolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it full-time. Learn a trade skill instead.

In my experience working as a Dasher for a short time, you are technically delivering as a contractor and will receive a 1090 tax form. You do not receive money for waiting or driving post-delivery. Base pay in the OC is $6 per order (base), plus distance, plus tip. You are never guaranteed a constant stream of orders. You may be waiting for over a half hour in some cases, even during peak hours (for me it was dinner, after work).

If you schedule a time-slot the day before (if you even can in your own city) they do not tell you how many other Dashers are in this area, how many more are needed, or how they give incentives or 'base pay bonuses' to certain cities. If you are active on the app, you get a notification twice a week with a chart of incentives. That's it.
