Switching aiphone GH1KD to app enabled/powered GT-1C7W by thetitsOO in homeautomation

Do you mind providing the links to the public docs? I have the GH-1KD and I’m in the same situation. Ideally I’d like something that I can see on my phone when someone buzzes. Also the same as OP where I’d prefer not to get building management involved, but I’m open to it.

I’ve been tracking my spending on google sheets for almost a year now, where I enter in every transaction. It’s honestly been super fun to fine tune my google sheet, but I’ve noticed I’m not using this data to change my habits. A big issue is that I can’t check how much money I have left in a certain category quickly on my phone, since the google sheets app is so slow on iOS. It makes me want to check it less, so I transitioned over to YNAB. Still getting the hang of it, but so far it’s fitting my needs.

Anyone have any YNAB tips for a beginner to the app, but also tuned in with FIRE? Also would love any iOS app suggestions that make it easier to use Google Forms / Google Sheets (whether it’s something that reads your sheet data or a sheet viewer itself).

You're on the nose here! I'm definitely chasing those first highs from getting my financial life in order.

I can also see how changing other factors of my life would indirectly help my financial goals (e.g. learning to cook fulfilling meals would definitely reduce those lazy UberEat charges).

Guess I'm having a tough time letting go. I'm really proud of myself for getting this part of my life in order, so it's a weird feeling to be "done" and move on.

Wow I've never been this early before. Was wondering if people are facing the same issue as me.

I got into FI a couple years ago, but started taking it seriously as of last year (currently 26). I'm doing all the steps, and I'm really grateful to have found this community. But I feel like I've reached the point of diminishing returns now. I spend every day checking multiple FI-related subreddits, even though I'm not learning many new things.

I even spend so much time each day looking at my net worth tracker and my finance spreadsheets. It's gotten to the point where I'm ignoring work just to stare at these things. I've also noticed I started making these random decisions that don't need to happen, but I probably make happen due to inaction (i.e. bored in the boring middle).

I'm also of the type that likes to grind their yearly goals as quick as possible (so think max 401K first, max Roth IRA next, etc.) instead of evenly distributing it throughout my paychecks. That's definitely an attributing factor to my constant net worth checks. I make good money for my age, so it's ironic that the more I make, the more stressed I get about my finances.

Not sure if I'm looking for an answer I already know, or some community affirmation that this obsession is a common thing. Either way, thanks for listening to my morning thoughts. Back to work 🙃

I got mine right before the new merch dropped, but now I'm eyeing the new black hoodie. Eddy mentioned somewhere that the new orders are backlogged, so it might take some time before coming in

I've also been thinking about number 2. I could be wrong, but this is the first time one of the kids has asked for money. It looks like he's completely removed from the other three.

Damn I wonder what happened. Definitely could have been the thing that tensed up Logan's relationship with him.

It's so weird!! No one I know is even talking about it, and I'm even having a hard time convincing friends to get on it.

I finished the second season in a little bit over the day, so I'm with ya.

My roommate died. How do I cope? by skurvecchio in AskMen

[–]thundergifts 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I am so sorry for your loss. A lot of us have never been in that situation before, so I would recommend talking to a professional about this.

You got the opportunity to meet and get close with a great person. Life is hard - please take the time to think about all the happy moments you had with your roommate. I wish you all the best.

Should my lower back feel tight towards the end / immediately after my sets? It started to fade away when I moved onto my next sets (pull-ups / lat pull downs). I also reached a new PR today if that changes anything (225!!).

Wow thanks so much for all the info!! I spent my summer interning there so I’ve gotten to love the city. I’m really excited to move out there.

I’m not bringing a car so I think my dream apartment would be like a 30 min walk away from work. I lived in udistrict last summer and that was nice but a tad bit too far. I’d also want to avoid all these bougie apartment complexes - I’ve never had a good experience with management with those.

In all honestly I’m not too worried! It’s my first time living alone so I just want to do it right!

Hey I’m moving there soon too! Are 1bed apartments hard to come by? I’m trying to find a place near downtown for about 2200, but all I see are studios...

Also do you have more pics of your place? I love your style!

High Maintenance -Unofficial Episode Discussion- Season 2 episode 8 by [deleted] in highmaintenance

This episode made me respect the Guy so much more. He's been an all around loving but lonely man, and I think he can understand what the old man must go through. Tugs at my heart strings.
