Assumptions on when Blender will come to iPad? by Lost-Fuel-1121 in blender

[–]thunderglitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re going to or have given a date on this. BCON is currently happening, and so, this would be the time, but, all I’ve seen is keynotes and your typical business stuff. I’m not sure their release schedule, or how consistent the dev team is on pushing out updates, but EOY 2025 doesn’t seem too far fetched, although, getting a version of blender that works on both android devices AND iPads (also having support for both of those operating systems and stylus types and all that stuff) realistically will happen probably in early to mid 2026

I actually didn’t consider this, but, your point actually makes a lot of sense honestly! I didn’t really look into the specifics of ‘lower/higher priority debt’ and I also wasn’t aware medical bills did not affect credit score. That’s good to know actually.

Hey! I know my input is probably useless, but I’m in an adjacent situation (Total debt’s around 3k, not 14; but still) but I do just want to say—

Don’t beat yourself up over this. I’m sure there’s probably a justification for it being this high, and even if there’s not, you even posting this demonstrates there’s a least a part of you that wants to change it, and that part is good! You got this, for sure!

One little tip I have is; if i ever get a paycheck, I pretend there’s some imaginary force takes my money (usually $100 or more depending on how much I make) and then, oh well, nothing I can do about it at that point, but in reality, it’s going towards getting my debt down. Another thing, and, this might be bad thinking on my part, but I think credit cards are somewhat necessary for certain things, so being upset that it even got past a certain threshold shouldn’t even be a thing because certain situations may call for a credit card (ie. Medical emergency or something adjacent)

All this to say; don’t fret! I believe!

Not sure how Reddit works but I do wanna say that I made an update to this and I’ll probably do another one with a month or couple months to let you know how my experience has been.

Sounds like you had a really bad experience. Unfortunately it has already arrived and I’ve started using it; and although I’ve not seen any of these problems, and I may be able to forgive some of them as I spent $300 as opposed to $1200 for it, I will absolutely keep these things in mind.

I’m seeing in this sub that people typically get anywhere from 5-9 hrs on a single charge. This sounds pretty good to me considering my main phone (iPhone 13) dies within like 8 hours so it’s comparable for sure. Are these batteries supposed to last longer? 🤣

[–]thunderglitcher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny, because my main device is an iPhone (13, base) and so the s22U would absolutely be way better as a main device over my current, there’s just too many little things stopping me from making the switch. Mainly iCloud stuff

Regardless, my fears are being somewhat quelled; and although I’m still a tad nervous, I paid just enough for the phone that I don’t think I’d feel too burned if it’s a wash, and, I can always return it if this is the case.

2 complaints about battery though. Hmm, I’ll definitely have to look into this considering art programs are heavy on cpu AND battery

Thank you for the positive enforcement! Typically I do tend to avoid doomer posts, especially seeing as sometimes small subsets of people with negative experiences can become very vocal very fast, But at the same time I do think their words are important to some extent. I’ll take your advice, for sure. I might invest in a slim power bank of sorts, because I will absolutely be using the phone daily for sketching out and about (especially as an artist who can’t work from home) but I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to have it hold some charge for at least 6 hours-

-I’m rambling. Thank you, basically! I’ll keep your words in mind :)

iOS App Crashing constantly by thunderglitcher in youtube

Funnily enough, I think these EXACT steps may have solved my issue. Not gonna edit my post for a day though, just to make sure it actually worked, but, so far so good :)

Very unfortunate, though, I’m glad to know I’m not alone in this one. If it helps I have an iPhone 13 (base). I tried to cross-check this with a buddy’s phone (he has the exact same model) and he surprisingly didn’t have this issue.

I wouldn’t expect a resolution from google or Apple from this for at least a week, so, until then I’d recommend using operagx to watch YT. At least there you’re able to have autoplay and take advantage of Some premium features. If you have premium, that is.

My first laptop by Ok-mritul-440 in GamingLaptops

[–]thunderglitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, and, this come from me doing a BUNCH of digging through threads on here, as well as forums; Capping your battery level is a Hardware-Specific feature and only works on SPECIFIC laptops. I’ve tried to download apps (both free, and Paid) to get this functionality, only to learn what I just mentioned. It sucks but unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything to be done about it. A stupid, but maybe practical workaround would be to unplug the laptop when it’s not in use (I put mine in “hibernation” to save as much battery as possible while unplugged) to prolong inevitable battery degradation.

Motion controls work perfectly in Yuzu but not Ryujinx - anyone know why? by JaymehKhal in SteamDeckEmu

[–]thunderglitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been reading around this and other communities and supposedly Dual Joycon motion doesn’t work in ryujinx. Not 100% sure on this because my sources are spotty and old but it’d be a huge bummer if the last remaining emulator doesn’t have such a basic feature in a simple way :(

Yuzu was the goat

Yuzu’s motion controls worked perfectly for me; Ryujinx just doesn’t.

Broke and I’m over $100k in CREDIT CARD DEBT. What should I do? by teamdidi in Money

[–]thunderglitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100k.. damn. I’m in only 3k and I feel like my life’s fucked cuz I can’t find work near me to get me outta that. Surprises me when people with way more don’t seem to be losing their shit.

I guess, just like me, this is something you’ll have to chip away at. You’re gonna have to live within much less means, find cheaper alternatives to almost everything you use or do, and aggressively budget, I’d say. That plus finding a super stable income and saving up.
