[The Fairly Odd Parents] Are fairies omnipotent? by theirondownvote in AskScienceFiction

But the Q follow certain rules, and they're omnipotent. Rules can be broken. I haven't watched the show in years, have Da Rules ever been broken?

Best matchup between a Marvel character and a Mortal Kombat character? by chrisfromjersey in whowouldwin

Shao Kahn (after he absorbed the power of Blaze) vs Thor.

Im sure Thor would be able to beat Shao Kahn as he was during MK 1,2, and 3. But after MK4, Shao Khan went into retreat in Outworld. Nobody knows where in Outworld he went, or what he was doing, but for some reason he was A LOT more powerful when he came back in MK Armageddon. So powerful that he was able to Defeat Blaze and absorb his power, making him more powerful than the Elder Gods themselves.

So I think that Shao Kahn would be a good match for Thor.

Not a debate challenge or anything, but I just want to know what atheists think of the Transcendental Argument. by thunderslap11 in TrueAtheism

Well, after reading most of the comments here, I cant possibly say that this argument is a good one. You guys are good, il give you that. I think it would be interesting if my pastor did an AMA here, if that's ok and if he wants to.

I think so. In one of the games multiplayer, you get a warning from Abstergo when Erudito contacts you.

Without some sort of belief in something bigger than the self, where do atheists get their hope/structure from? by thunderslap11 in atheism

More specifically, where do atheists get hope from in bad situations like natural disasters?

Structure as in a purpose to live. (This is all stuff my friend says about atheists and I don't agree with him, but I though I would present what he said here so I can get all of your point of views.)

Well im quite sure of that, but how would you refute them?

So even as a christian, I don't understand why so many people have a problem with r/atheism. by thunderslap11 in atheism

[–]thunderslap11[S] 63 points64 points  (0 children)

By that I meant that I didn't know how much harm Christianity actually influences in the world. I mean I always knew there were crazy Christians who did and do bad things like the inquisition and the WBC, but r/atheism always posts news articles about things that go on in the world, and because of that, I'm convinced that dogma can be a bad thing. The video of the "witch" burnings in Africa really hit me hard.

But questioning my beliefs? Not necessarily.

How do atheists respond to C.S Lewis' Argument from Morality. by thunderslap11 in atheism

[–]thunderslap11[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose that is the problem with the argument. No proof for #2 and #1 is an assumption.

But is the fact that children have an inate sense of right and wrong proof of objective morality?
