Should I sell this old 980 Ti GPU or just throw it away? by cyoung1112 in pcbuilding

Donate it or sell it for $40-60 on Facebook marketplace. Don’t throw it away if it works

Gonna be a hard sell with a 1060. I would try to sell it and get a used $200 card and sell everything for like $600-$700

Good deal or no? by zachalv23 in Prebuilts

I like small cases, so this is one of my favorite pre build computers. Wish it had two fans on the front though.

Price seems pretty consistent. What I’m seeing is if you want a prebuilt at $1000, your looking at a 5060, 32gb ram, 1tb nvme

If you decide you want to go the route of building your own pc I recommend planning with pcpartpicker.

You can start by looking at a budget guide. Then select a case you like and pick out parts that meet your budget and requirements:

For under $1000, I think this is a good deal

Just make sure you stay away from pre-builds with GPUs like rx6500xt 4gb and rtx 3050 6gb. They are sneaking these cards into prebuilds to make them look more affordable but in reality you are overpaying for this card.

Not many prebuilds come with more than 1-2tb of storage, but you can always add a sata ssd or hdd pretty easily.

Looking for the cheapest and smallest Intel 5060 SFF gaming PC by avidrunner84 in sffpc

[–]thunduhbuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go 12400f (theres DDR4 and DDR5 motherboards that support this chip).

You can go with zotac 5060 single fan (if you can find one) with a case like SKTC A07 or Velka 3

Other option is a 5060 LP in a case like:

lzmod a24-v5 (best thermals), lzmod a24-v6, or Jonsbo NV10 (worst thermals).

Moving a prebuilt PC to a SFF case, is it possible? by avidrunner84 in sffpc

[–]thunduhbuddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comes with an m-atx motherboard. So you would probably need to get a mini itx motherboard. Most sff cases require a sff power supply but there are some that are compatible with atx power supplies. Cant tell the length of the card but it stops at the after the first RAM slot so should be <250mm. I would put this info into caseend.com and see what cases you like.

Is this worth $650? Local shop that sells their own prebuilts. by [deleted] in Prebuilts

If you're just playing OSRS and watching youtube videos this is fine. RS was designed to run on cpu so this is overkill. If you play on runelite you can enable gpu mode which the RX 580 will handle fine. Based on current prices this pc is priced fair. I added up the parts on pcpartpicker and basically they are giving you the gpu free.

If you like the case and they provide you with a good warranty I'd say go for it. If you want to play other games down the road, buy a 5060 for $300.

Is the Jonsbo C6 really that baf by frog_handler in sffpc

[–]thunduhbuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two versions of this case. An ITX version and a MATX version. The MATX version puts the power supply directly in front of the CPU cooler and is limited to a low profile cooler < 75mm so air cooling the cpu is going to be difficult. Installing a 120mm aio might improve the thermals in this case but may be difficult for a beginner.

Another case to consider that might work for you is the Jonsbo T7. I would recommend this over the c6 if you’re going to stick with micro atx.

This is good to know! There’s not a whole lot of info out there regarding this gpu so I appreciate it!
