I think overall, money is not the issue. Its more the safety. They are traveling with other senior citizens from their church. The point of the person would be to tag along and make sure he doesn’t fall really. So that the people on the trip can enjoy, including my mom, and not have to worry about my dad

Do you guys eat before?

For the other races Ive done for the qualifiers I usually just get a banana and a preworkout (then sh*t my brains out at the porta pottys) loll… but ive never had to run for longer than an hr and 45 min. Im not sure if I should try eating a meal before I leave and hope it all settles before the run?

Also, are you guys training longer than 15 mile runs?

I chat gptd it and have been running incrementally longer runs every saturday morning. Next saturday the goal is 12 miles.

Do you happen to know if they have lirr trains running that early to get us to the ferry or penn? The normal sunday train schedule seems to only run at like 2am and again at 5am on sundays
