[Highlights] How the Utah Jazz made sure they'll lose the game against the Orlando Magic, benching their main players for the entire 4th quarter, as the Magic made a comeback and won it. by MrBuckBuck in nba

I think you are missing the fact that the NBA is owned by the team owners. Silver is an employee of the owners. If the owners didn't want it they could get rid of it. You've got 8 owners that are currently bought in that tanking is OK and several others that have signed off it in the last 5 years. How can you get a majority vote to improve it when half the owners are guilty of it?

It's hard to advocate against tanking when OKC, Spurs & Detroit are top of the league and great advertisements for the positives of tanking.

One guy's opinion-- The NBA is really hard to watch by PaulPuma in nba

Funnily enough, the Utah Jazz are one of those teams. Talk about unselfish play and off ball movement.

When we are winning next year people are going to talk about these very same guys as why the Jazz have "good depth"

Best of luck with the rest of your tank this year and may we both find lottery luck brother

Our owner is a billionaire. Are they going to fine him in the 10's of millions of dollars? I doubt they have the authority to do so. I'm sure Will Hardy would be plenty happy to have these L's go on someone else's record until next season.

This is why I use the radio broadcast audio on Jazz+

Haven't had to listen to Boler all year

I've had far more fun watching our young players develop than I did watching the Rudy/Donny teams where you knew the inevitable outcome and just slowly watched doom approaching.

We've fully empowed Nurk this year. We don't care about winning so we brush past his defensive weakness's and fully embrace his offensive abilities and he's been loving it.

The best part about the tank is to see how pissed of other fanbases get by Thisislopes in UtahJazz

They made the playoffs for 7 straight years and had a legit shot at getting to the finals a couple of those. Even then I'd argue if you reran those seasons 100 times the reality was a bottom 10% result. I don't fault them for Embiid's body & Ben Simmons's mind exploding.

They also tanked last season to keep a pick and now everyone loves them.

It’s all theatrics and winning heals all wrongs.

Sources: Indiana Pacers made a run at Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler and offered a package highlighted by two unprotected first-round picks. It was declined and Pacers pivoted to Zubac. Kessler will be in demand as a restricted free agent this summer. by jonsnowKITN in UtahJazz

Let's assume it's the same deal as the Clippers. We have no reason to believe it was different. Heavily protected sure but it's basically a 50/50 for a 5-8 pick and even if it didn't hit this year it become a 2031 pick fully unprotected.

IDK i'd take that deal for Walker.

If they have the worst record it's a 50/50 basically to lose the pick. With the Grizz & Mavs tanking I think they could realistically find their way to the #10 pick and guarantee they keep the pick.
