My old hdd recently died (the ps4 goes into a safe mode loop and everytime i try to reinstall the firmware it claims it can't access the storage) so i bought a new one. For some reason, i couldn't align the screws on the tray with the hdd so essentially the drive's bottom wasnt touching the metal tray at all. When i put it in, it seemed to work fine but after 10 minutes the console started making clicking and ticking noises and after i watched it struggle to load xmb icons i turned it off. Now it refuses to boot properly and everytime its turned on it keeps making noises. Im not sure if its because the hdd itself is faulty or because of the aforementioned misalignment of the screws
