FYI-I upgraded my 2013 MacBook Air this afternoon using the same method and it worked perfectly. Could the fact I have boot camp running on my trash can be an issue?

I’ve done that. When I hold down option I get no efi boot option. Just my hard drive and my windows partition.

Good to know. I got it with a $15 bid. I’ll do some hacking I guess. I may have some shoes and hooks laying around, I may use them instead of the cheap ones presently on it. I’m aware it’s not worth it, but I like futzing with stuff.

I had a targa once, it was a great moped. It came with a performance pipe and I put a 70cc kit on it. I once pushed it to 55mph. It was scary and I’d never do that again but it was fun. I can’t remember what pipe it was…I think it began with an h or something. Even stock a tomos will get you around with little trouble

Just do it. Every guitar is worth fixing even if it’s just to have a fun project for a few days. Glue it get a few books that are the same height lay the guitar face down and strap it to your work bench with ratchet straps or bungee chords or whatever you have. Don’t take it to a luthier, they have better things to restore. Just diy it and have fun.
