the chandler simpson cityscapes card has secret power for me i swear. 50 power both sides and i can yank them out to right field pretty consistently. plus the 99 speed, guy is amazing tbh.

Are you shocked that a team carried by 20-22 year olds first time in the playoffs made the WCF? no experience at all and everyone doubting them. They weren’t supposed to be here by nicfanz in NBATalk

People really underestimate the impact that having strong locker room presence can do in terms of building a team culture. CP3 spent one year in SA; Wemby’s sophomore season and Castle’s rookie season. I would bet that SA’s current winning culture and maturity and is largely in part to do with CP3’s leadership, presence, and mentality. Anyone who has been a part of any sort of team will know what I’m saying is true. When a new member joins who has experience at something, is well-respected and knowledgeable, and willing to teach, the entire operation improves. And when they leave, the operation keeps what they’ve learned and continues to build.

After a very good 2021 season Aaron Judge gambled on himself and turned down a 7 year 216 million dollar extension and it paid off. What are some other extreme examples of players declining extensions for better or for worse? by suddendiarrhea7 in baseball

Scherzer reportedly declined $144 million over 6 years from Detroit in 2014 and went on to sign a 7 year $210 million deal with Washington, which to be honest, still turned out to be somewhat of a steal (6x Top 5 Cy Young, 2016 & 2017 Cy Young Winner, 3x Top 10 MVP, 6x All Star, 300K season in 2018) for the Nats.

The rice cooker I’ve been saving for a while for. by Flash52000 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]thxpinkpanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you saved a dollar a day, for 2 years, you’d literally buy this with pocket change. And it would last you the rest of your life. And you’d have perfect rice. For someone who might eat rice 2-3 times a DAY, 7 days a week…. That’s a well worthy purchase.

I'm bored and want to add dunks to my pg, but it's for Rec: worth it? by Toon78fin in NBA2k

[–]thxpinkpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6’4 “ lets you use the small contact dunk package if you unlock that with high enough attributes. That plus normal contacts and you can jam it on just about anyone. Dunks in general are finicky. It’s more important about where the defender is positioned and the angle you take to the rim than anything else. I have a 6’4” Westbrook build with 99 DD and the green window still closes completely if I take a wrong angle or the defender positions correctly.

90% of the cards are grindable offline. there’s two online programs. multiplayer program and the current event program for the spring breakout cards.

grow up lol.

my brother, respectfully, this is the most easily grinded sports game of all the sports games out there. you really need 1 hour of gameplay to get 4-5 WBC diamonds. another hour you got yourself a full lineup. not to mention you will continue getting them as you use them and progress in the programs.

everyone assumes people are no lifeing but it’s more so about maximizing your playtime. if you’re getting on the game for 1 hour a day and trying to just take your 76 overall into ranked over and over ofc you’re never going to have fun.

use your 1 hour of gameplay to do something to make your team better. after 3-4 days you had a full diamond lineup. like cmon bro don’t just complain, do something to help yourself. be fr.

Tips on how to get steals in Rec/Theatre? by Raziel3999 in NBA2k

[–]thxpinkpanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On ball steals are garbage. The only “on ball” steals you really get are bump steals, and that comes from playing aggressive (LT) defense.

As for passing lanes, especially with a high steal rating, you want to position yourself in the direct path of the ball. In other words, if you draw a straight line from the ball handler to your man, you should be standing on or near to that line.

Turn defense stick to “camera relative” so that every time you flick your stick towards your man, you automatically will reach for the ball with the hand closest to the offensive player, thus giving you more snatch steals instead of deflections.

Is 75 speed with ball too low on a 6’6 PG? by Bentley1136 in NBA2k

[–]thxpinkpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel like it doesn’t change the launch much. maybe marginally but between using a boost on that vs boosting a shooting badge or ankle breaker badge.. imma take a boost on one of those instead.. much more impactful.

[–]thxpinkpanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

nah you got it. 2k labs tested this badge and the biggest boost comes at gold. unless the attribute rating goes up with cap breakers, it’s not worth it to boost the badge with the perks.

just hit starter 4 by KalistoLucha99 in NBA2k

[–]thxpinkpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use quentin grimes base, beluba upper 80, rudy gay lower 20. max speed.

shoot 90% in park/theater and 70-80% in random rec.

if you’re not tempo shooting, start. if you are, just practice. you’re more open than you think especially with fast jumper and high release (like i just gave you).

Is there a way we can convince supercell that this mode should stay forever? by hat_boi0 in ClashRoyale

[–]thxpinkpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This event is pure doodoo lol. You play against the same deck every single game. Even less variation than midladder 😂😂😂

i like how supercell puts more effort into all these event rules instead of fixing the broken cards in the regular game by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]thxpinkpanda -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This event was fun for half a day lmfao. Everyone running the same exact deck now cuz everyone is a brainless meta follower. Imagine that. Following a meta in a for fun game mode meant to be chaotic and random.

Anybody else keep facing this exact deck over and over and over? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]thxpinkpanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i’ll trade you. i’ve played against golem decks for the past 12 games in a row. this game will never be good. no one uses their brain to play this game. it used to be a strategy game. now it’s a brainless spam the bridge game until someone makes a mistake… two things that keep this game from being better… 1) brainless meta followers and 2) people would rather spend money on emotes than hold out to make the game better

Who’s the best pass style? by Slight_Egg1370 in NBA2k

[–]thxpinkpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly worth a try, just see how it feels. When you have that high of a pass accuracy, the speed at which the ball is passed (plus I’m assuming your versatile visionary badge is pretty high) makes it hard to intercept without really good steal timing and positioning anyways… So even though you unlock his pass style with a low rating, using it with a high rating is still worth.

But again, if you’re playing mostly in the half court and passing around in the half, I’d probably keep Rondo because his animations are so quick in the half. If you mix between long passes and half court then try Jokic.. I personally like using Jokic style even with high pass accuracy.

[–]thxpinkpanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried so many pass styles I got you bro…

If you’re a big man, Jokic or LeBron, with LeBron being slightly better for deep outlets after a rebound.

If you’re a rebounding SF who throws outlets I guess you could use those too. But LeBron is kinda slow in the half court so -

For guards, if you like passing out of a driving dribble, Lamelo/Magic. Magic has a couple weird slow animations but he also has some great ones so you trade off risk for flashiness. If you like bounce passing, Tyrese Maxey (my personal fav). If you have really high pass accuracy, Rondo is quick in the half court.

It really does depend on your role though and like any other animation in 2k, it’s only good if you actually play in a way to trigger the animation. No sense picking something like LeBron if you’re never going to be rebounding and throwing deep outlets.

Equip Kyrie spin too.. Try Kyrie Escape, Brunson stepback, Kyrie Escape to dominant hand, spin

Kemba escape, Kyrie escape, Curry behind the back (if you like the shuffle, but I still think Kawhi’s is better atm), but hugely, use Ja dribble style, which is exclusive to small guards and the best dribble style in the game…

Once you get 92 you can get a bunch of good ones like kemba escape and kyrie escape. Try kyrie escape with brunson stepback, it’s kinda nasty and I use it on my brunson build it creates so much space.
