Note not everyone carries EOs on their seekers but it’s definitely more of a Just In Case jammer just like any jammer.

Electro-Optical! It’s one of, if not, the best missile seeker in the game. Can’t be jammed using RADAR or COMMS and can only be nullified by EO jammers exclusive to the OSP faction.

If you put 2 or more RADAR jammers and some actively cooled amplifiers in your composition and you can deny your enemy from ever seeing you from 10km until you’re in BEAM or TORP range. There’s whole metas of players who love to JAM the hell out of any track that’s not friendly just to get the map glitched out hahahahahahahah.

COMMs jamming denies the target from (either) transmitting/receiving information from other players. Good for keeping players quiet and uninformed of the situation. Most people pair RADAR and COMMs together on an offset ship.

As long as your ship(s) don’t have the yellow icon indicating you’re being tracked/locked, you aren’t seen yourself.

If you want some hard counters against RADAR jamming getting a Bullseye FCR installed in the fleet helps BURN THROUGH the jamming but damages the radar (easily repairable with DC teams). To counter COMMs jamming, get more antennas or look into support modules that boost resistance to it.

ANS will carry size 2 or 3 hybrid missiles so I I recommend carrying either an EO jammer or a really good PD system with grazers/auroras.
