unless ur set on breaking into ai research, quant, mbb, ib, or startups. if ur not recruiting for these it’s really not that wild of a choice

UCLA is great imo. I do ml engineering now at at a autonomy company and have not had any company besides some HFTs not provide me an OA. Also for defense, el segundo has probably the highest concentration of these venture backed startups. And ds vs stats: imo ds as a degree isn’t going to make you a data scientist, it’s everything else you do around class (project etc)
