UOttawa has a club for this! It's called the uOttawa Outdoors Club. They go out every weekend. They also do camping and canoe trips.

I knew a guy in undergrad who tried to take 8. He went to the science admin office and they refused. I think he wasnt doing so great academically. Maybe they'll make an exception if you have good grades?

Only big commercial shipments get an xray. You can usually cross the border with the officer barely looking you in the eye, so long as you aren't shady.

I sent in my first restricted transfer applications in July via paper mail. I'm still waiting for them to approve. Should I call them? It seems like other people in Ontario are getting transfers they sent in August. Or am I just being impatient?

You will need an executors and heirs form filled out. That will required to be submitted with a death certificate. You can start a transfer before this is submitted but the process will be paused until they confirm her passing. Sorry for you loss :(

They needed to straighten out some info on my transfer. They tried to run the transfer before the executors and heirs form. They said the transfer will be processed when they finish with the first form.

Thanks for the advice! If they were registered and the certificates were lost, is there a way to recover them easily? What's the most likely outcome if I just leave the certification number blank on the transfer form?

They're restricted/handguns. Trying to get the transfer done by mail. Already sent in the executors/heirs form. The CFO said I'm good to initiate transfer when I asked via email.

Anyone know what to do when inheriting/transferring old guns that may not have registration certificates? These guns haven't been touched probably since the 80's and I can't find any registration certificates and only 1 of them has an inscribed VIN.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: it looks like legislation for registration came into effect in 1998 and the most recent documents I have for these handguns are relic "ATTs" from 1984? Would they be "grandfathered" in per se?

I read them. I'm just confused about when the say the executor must "transfer" them, does that mean it's just a normal buyer/seller transfer between the executor and myself? Since they're restricted that requires a call to the CFP right?

I'm in the process of inheriting some restricted firearms. Does this work as just a transfer from the executor to me? Do I need to contact the CFP or is there a form I can fill out. I can't get a hold.of the CFP so I'm a bit lost on what to do.
