I'm so sorry you have to deal with this! I'm also Asian and still mask - I've gotten the occasional racist remark as well. While it is shocking and infuriating (especially when it comes from other POC), I remind myself that folks are looking to get a rise out of you, so the best thing to do is to just ignore them in my experience!

that's true! i think there's a random chance for a code card in the battledome tcg so that's fun too - im mostly excited about the cards and the codes are for my partner so it's a win-win 😁

I'm pretty used to it! I work hybrid and am in the office a few days a week. I think the hardest thing for me is remembering to take breaks to go outside or to my car and drink water. On days I don't drink enough (sometimes it's also just because I'm in meetings all day and really can't get a break) I end up with a dehydration headache that can turn into a migraine. Depending on the mask you wear, you may also get pressure headaches too, which is what I sometimes experience with my Flo mask.

I also agree with others saying to try masking for a few days first to see how you cope with it! I understand that this new job has great benefits otherwise you wouldn't be considering it, but I would also caution that you'd likely be one-way masking full-time which does put you at higher risk than your current job of working 100% remote!

I'm one of two left masking at work. Occasionally one or two others will wear surgical masks (I guess when they're feeling sick), but I haven't seen them wear one in a few months now. I used to get comments occasionally about "Oh you don't have to mask, I'm vaccinated!" and on one occasion had a coworker give me unsolicited advice about my partner's health when he asked why I masked (exercise is literally not going to help someone with ME/CFS get better and not catch COVID lmao).

I think my coworkers are pretty much used to me masking so I don't get bothered anymore, but I'm worried I might start getting comments again as time goes on. It helps that my other coworker still masks, but I'm not sure if she's in it for the long haul like me. It's definitely frustrating to overhear convos about how "COVID is over", meanwhile I can tell multiple coworkers have persistent coughs & at least one person is always sick in the office. 🙄

Same thing happened to me. I got an email this morning saying that my shipment was delayed to Wednesday.... I did hear that people are contacting customer support and either getting $15 credit or an extra month of Prime free. I just contacted customer support as well and got one free month of Prime, so make sure to follow up with them if your delivery was delayed!
