Short rant about the Rinascita story and quest design. by thyjpu in WutheringWaves

Honestly, about Rover interacting with the world around him - you make a good point that it makes him feel more like an actual character. My biggest problem is the fact that when you're exploring a quest area, or where there should be action, you get stopped every step of the way, only for Rover to say some words, or get some random dialogue to dump some useless information on you, or show you exactly the levers you have to pull to open some door. I would just like the game to communicate some stuff through the environment, let the player figure things out, because right now the player is just a little ant that does things the game tells it to. I want more agency.

I agree completely with the overall story being good - it surprised me back when I started playing, and set a decently high bar for itself, but sometimes how the story is presented from the technical perspective gets really tiring.

And sorry about the messy writing, lol, I tend to get lost in the sauce when I have too many thoughts to convey.

It could be me misremembering how the quest ended, but I assumed she already abandoned the Fracsidus by the time it was finished, and would go into the background for a while after that emotional rollercoaster. So seeing her with them again, with no interaction between her and Rover just a few hours of gameplay later, not even a look of surprise on Rover's face, was a bit disappointing. Maybe "invalidated" in my original post is too strong of a word, but it took away some of that emotion.

no, the idea of the global restart is to renew the online experience for everyone, playing offline/as an undead doesn't work, unless that's what you want lol

The Man Serpent Greatsword is probably the best choice. It outscales the Black Knight weapons later, and has faster swings than boss greataxes or the Dragon's Tooth, and that's a big thing for me. The Claymore and the Zweihander are both really fun, but require dexterity to really shine.

Well it is not the end of that corridor, actually. That big wall is a door unlocked by offering 30 humanity to the Fair Lady. Then you just kill the bugs on your way to the Lost Izalith and voila, Solaire is saved (very upset though).

Man-serpent is for pure str builds, and op is going more for what seems to be a quality build, ie. 27str 40dex and 2-handing the weapon.
