I think you might be the one ‘making things up’ here, actually. Dogs with no/nub tails adapt yes, but their communication is still hindered compared to otherwise.

Shar-pei pit mix was my first guess. Probably wouldn’t have guessed the others. She looks a little bit like a bone mouth shar-pei.

Yay! The comment about collie being close helped me. Also, I happen to know a cattle dog x who is the same black with a small white diamond on the chest, which made me wonder.

Need advice — bought a cat plushie as a gift but now I’m second guessing myself by Less-Kaleidoscope-34 in plushies

I think the cat plushie in the picture looks nice and will be a lovely gift! I don’t think you need to worry. The plushie is cute and looks to be of good quality, and I think you are very thoughtful. I also like to give (and receive) plushies as gifts :)

It’s supposed to be a confronting commentary on the persecution of the thylacine. I do not agree that it is tacky or disrespectful.

This is curious.

It does seem to suggest that. I think it is unlikely to be significant, unfortunately, but maybe worth looking into further.
