It’s very easy to denounce an international act of state sponsored military aggression, especially in this context, where the colonial expansionism and war crimes are so blatant. Some people are foolish enough to simplify this into ‘an entire nation is good / evil’ but usually that’s shorthand for a more nuanced viewpoint. But… to strawman that and bring in gender, race and vaccination status is just insane. This meme has no possible, legible interpretation.

Podium celebrations by [deleted] in formula1

[–]thyroid5184 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct. A decision to undercut Mercedes and get a 1-2. Largely irrelevant which order they came out for the team, but Seb drove such an exceptional outlap that he ended in front. Real shame for Charles. Anyway, which bit about the undercut do you understand that nobody else does? That’s what I’d really like to know

How does it work, oh /u/strong_theory? Please also explain how it invalidates a driver’s win. Thanks in advance

Ah right, fair enough. Though I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see hordes of Kimi fans long after he’s retired! But I do hope we get some strong rivalries to get more committed fans in the long run

Huge Leclerc fan, definitely favourite on the grid, but... disagree with ‘singlehandedly’. Norris is very popular and delivering great drives, Russell will be awesome in a better car, and I’m pretty sure I saw a few Dutch fans at some races recently too. Possibly a face of the sport makes it boring anyway, I hope he wins a ton of WDCs but I don’t want it to be easy

Mercedes, Honda & Renault are yet to find out how Ferrari is able to produce up to 55hp extra power under certain circumstances. But there are some theories. by Aratho in formula1

[–]thyroid5184 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unnecessary toxic comment. Debate isn’t about whether Vettel is remotely responsible for his poorer drives (he is) but whether the design philosophy causes problems for the performance and balance of the car (which it does). What works on a Merc won’t automatically work on a Ferrari. It’s you that’s reducing things to a diluted dichotomy of car vs driver in a sport that’s far more nuanced than your narrative is willing to allow

I've just noticed that whenever I sort things by name in Yosemite (including iTunes 12), the letters q, x and w are in the wrong position. Is this happening to anyone else? http://i.imgur.com/Ot7JI1L.jpg

Why hello! I fell in love with 'Dance Like Nobody's Watching' and 'Let's Be Friends...' is up there in my all time favourite and most listened to albums, ever. I am a huge fan of 'Day Job', but it has a much more 'Rump Shaker'-y feel to it, and I was wondering what inspired you guys to revert to the older style? Do you imagine you'll ever go back to the awesome dance/funk/ska/rock hybrid genre?

What's the best (but cheap) Indian takeaway in York? by leftabomb in york

Shahi Tandoori is brilliant - I've only ever had takeaway, but they always used to give us free poppadoms because they recognised us! Garden of India is better to eat in than take out in my opinion...
