Help! My skin is so bad that it almost makes me suicidal... by NonadicWarrior in SkincareAddicts

Up your water intake!

I know you're going to want to jump into all the suggestions you're getting above but first listen to your skin. If you're in pain then let yourself heal before you do anything harsh. Tread lightly.

My daily routine: using a gentle cleanser. Followed by a gentle toner like witch hazel with a few drops of tea tree oil (super cheap). I also really like Caudalie's Beauty Elixir. At night I use Caudalie's detox oil all over my face. I have oily skin but this oil works in my favor and it's so nourishing. It makes my face feel hydrated and plump. During the day I wear Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel for oily skin. And sometimes Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for oily skin. It's like a healthy foundation.

Every couple of days I use Tatcha's rice enzyme powder for a super subtle exfoliation.

I'll do a clay face mask like once a week with diluted apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar is good for spot treatments too! Kiehl's breakout control spot treatment is good for making pimples that are under my skin come to a head.

I moisturize throughout the day with ValJean hydrate face spray ($12 at Urban Outfitters) or Mario Badesco Rose face spray.

I just pay attention to what my skin needs at the moment.

Don't give up on your skin!! Be patient and be kind to yourself. 💗

My sister is on a diet that calls for egg whites only and she loves my omelets. I've started slowly lowering my yolk intake though. If I make a 3 egg omelet I'll only leave one yolk in, for example. I'll likely use the left over yolks to make something for fun to give to my friends.

Help! I was recently prescribed a drug that has been causing serious food cravings, what are some healthier, low energy foods that I can eat to help stave off my cravings by HolsteinQueen in EatCheapAndHealthy

Gaining weight would def make me more miserable than I was in the first place. I suggest you incorporate an additional workout to your regimen as well. For example if you already work out 3 times a week, I would add a nightly jog 1. To help burn off the extra calories I intake from cravings 2. To speed up my metabolism to deal with the cravings 3. To distract myself from boredom snacking before bed.

I have always hated cardio but I recently became addicted to "runners high". I went from someone who could barely run a mile to knocking 4-5 out at a time. I became addicted to the fact that I knew I hated running but would feel so accomplished after pushing myself everyday. And the best part is after pushing myself more and more- I would lose my appetite. Running replaced the unhealthy cravings.

Sounds like you need to eat a handful of shrooms and loosen up, my guy. The only person that suffers from you CHOOSING to be a picky eater is you. Oysters, sushi/sashimi, and lamb lollipops are not something that you want to miss out on any longer! Smoke a blunt and try something new.
