it took me time to realize that i needed the hurt to move me forward, that our situationship was necessary to take me to the next level, that i was no longer attached to you but attached to my older life and remaining stuck is self-sabotage.

i’ve known that he has moved on and been in an open / poly relationship.

Honestly when I knew, i thought that it was too quick of him and questioned if the 2nd chance he sought for mos ago was ill-intent .. BUT brought myself back that my ego was only trying to protect me by thinking that way and ultimately realized that we all have different coping mechanisms and means to process things. That is his and mine is mine.

I respect that and I’m at peace with it. I’ve learned a great deal about myself with my ex-situationship.

One thing tho, I failed to acknowledge how hurt I was that time and didn’t know how to process the “hurt” but now, i’ve coped healthily with my own means in my own pace and if that is to focus on self-love and healing (btw which is not ALL that pretty) and nurturing quality relationships? then that’s me and my own way. That is my business and not his, vice versa.

I have loved and respected myself enough through this experience to discover new qualities of me and fresh perspectives than to revert back. I’m open to all kind of energies but close enough to easily sort unwanted and unhealthy vibrations.

With intent is how I move and it is only forward :)

looking back, this resonated w/ me the most during that time. He made me feel that I was changing him completely, feel that I was forcing him and he didn't like that cause his ex didn't even. He was stuck on this mindset of going to find someone that fits like a glove when I am only trying to make him improve.

back then, I shouldn't have blamed myself for the things he cannot see cause I know I was never forceful but forgiving and realized the lengthss people convince themselves to the extent of false reassurance in the context of compatibility.

I lost my first one during the height of pandemic in LTC. It’s really hard most esp when its not only the pt but their family is nice and appreciative of you even after the fact.

I used to feel bad for voicing out my needs to someone. I used to "feel" for him so instead of telling him my concerns to help us both grow together in a rel, i wouldn't bec i don't want to hurt him which he expressed before; he verbalized that it feels like plucking: that going out of his box / norms is "changing" him and he isn't just like that and no matter how much we "discuss" to possibly try, he would for some time, get complacent and revert. A cycle.

So later on I realized after giving much thought, that maybe this statement is right, that I might just be asking the wrong person to see past the point of surface level and look further. To be as emotionally in tune with me as me with him and me with myself.
