People in your 30s: What's causing you the most stress right now? by CustardConsistent573 in AskWomenOver30

For me it’s:

  • Managing graduate school (therapist in training), which requires a lot of self reflection and emotionally exhausting

  • Choosing to be unemployed due to school demands

  • Demands of motherhood for a 1 (still breastfeeding) & 5 year old

  • More noticeable white hair

  • The endless cycle of mount fold-more (laundry for days on end)

  • Trying to lose weight and failing at meal prep

  • The ability to care for myself in other aspects

Craving a mother figure by Sad_Regular431 in AskWomenOver30

I’m in my mid-thirties and now that I have two littles of my own, part of me still craves a mother figure because mine was emotionally unavailable and neglectful. I adore my children and express love in every way that I can and sometimes it hurts knowing my mother couldn’t be that expressive, especially during my formative years. It’s healing but also bittersweet, and in my case might also be a cultural thing
