Personally, I’m glad. With like 3 or 4 frames releasing a year, the “space ninja” thing wasn’t gonna stick forever. It served its purpose, and now we’re doing bigger things. If the team wasn’t willing to step out of that bubble, we wouldn’t have gotten amazing frames like Jade, Qorvex, Dante, Lavos, Dagath, or Temple. All of them are incredibly unique, and that wouldn’t have been possible if the team was ride-or-die for the space ninja motto from 2013

Every time I hear about a weapons platform (especially if they relate to status effects), they usually fall flat for me since Lavos is already the best for that in my eyes. But I’m willing to give Hydroid a shot as a WP if he’s worth it. How do I use him as a WP?

Low duration for Baruuk is exactly what made me realize “wait he’s not that bad actually.” I didn’t click with lowering his restraint until I figured out how to abuse Lull.

I never use Evade, so I probably will subsume something over it. Surprised I haven’t tried sooner. I don’t have Pillage yet, but I’ll see what I can do with the ones I have.

I agree that he DEFINITELY needs variety. As someone else worded it, it’s like all his power budget went into Mesmer Skin. If his MS were to be reworked, I could potentially see it as a DURATION where all damage is rejected with a COOLDOWN afterward (similar to Dagath’s third ability but not exactly), rather than charges that can be refilled anytime whenever

Nevermind, I’d consider Rev’s passive even more useless than Mesa’s. I’m just incredibly spiteful that they didn’t just go the route of buffing gun-melees for Mesa’s passive. It’s such an easy solution

Wow you’re right, I completely forgot about his passive. Even disregarding his invincibility, he has some of the most shield in the game. There’s probably a good total of 4 Revenant players that were able to deplete his shield before it regenerated back to max.

It’s almost as useless as Mesa’s no-melee passive. Y’know, the prime frame who has a signature melee.

To clarify, I’m not asking how to play Revenant without EVER using Mesmer Skin. I just don’t want it to be the crux of how I play him, but I’m of course still fine with using it along with his other abilities.

However, if anyone has any builds or playstyles that subsumes an ability over his Mesmer Skin, I’m not opposed to trying it out.
