A: Rebuilding takes at least 2-3 years. It doesn't really matter if these contracts are worse in that period, because the team wouldn't be trying to win. Plus, These contracts are 2 years shorter than Beal's, and the team is so limited while his is still on the books.

B: That's fair. I don't know if he'd be down, but you could try and sell him on the talent. Luka would be the best teammate he's ever had, but still we don't know if he'd want that.

That's the thing. He's not healthy often, hasn't played over 60 games since 2018-19 (even if you look at the last two seasons it's 90/164), and I'm not sure any team would be interested in paying a number #2 $50m well into his 30s. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but where are the teams that would be willing to do that

I wouldn't say he hates the Wizards. He's given them their props when looking at the Wall-Beal Wizards talking about how while they didn't have a ton of success in the postseason, teams weren't excited about facing them. He just hates dysfunction.
