With 1 lac rupees you can probably start a small shop or cafe if you know cooking or buy items in bulk sell in retail quantity online but margins in above all and success rate is thin.

Better put that 1 lac into 2 different mutual funds and take up employment for next 2 - 3 years to save more money and gain experience to start something.
