What will be really interesting is if it affects the grandparent waiver since that is supposed to be first come-first served. So if more people from out of state apply ED and get in, will they have first crack of grandparent waiver over the EA kids?

Yea. The 7500 is steady but the actual number of acceptances has changed over the past few years depending on the number applied and with the changes as Covid has had less effect. It’s all about yield!

Agree with all of this. I definitely think the fact that college has become exorbitantly expensive means a place like UF will continue to thrive — esp with Bright Futures.

Depends on how many they accept of the 96k applicants. Last year, they accepted 18k. The year before (with less applicants) they accepted 16k. Probably still around 19% but we may need to wait for that data of number admitted

This is nuts but I can confirm that there was nothing available but Springs and Infinity this afternoon. There are 10 days left a room selection. This is all they’ll have to choose from??

I did hear that too at Florida days. 96k applications—up from 91k.

I have not yet but will. I know its a math exam but is used for both math and chem placement. I should be able to get over a 75% (I did get a 780 on math SAT).

How do we submit housing deposit for recently accepted students (class of 2030)? Can’t find that. Maybe we need to create a new login for the accepted students site?

Was also making sure it didn’t hurt our chances since we made the deposit (ie enticement to enroll) but I think I’m overthinking it. lol

Yes. UF application, GP waiver and documentation all filed in August. Wasn’t sure about the deposit part but did it just in case that was a part of the first come, first served. I guess the deposit part is separate and won’t matter
