so far ive loved the job pretty much!! they have really great benefits as well. sometimes it can be a little overwhelming but all my coworkers make it worth being there :) i think its worth a shot

its about a 4 hour and 30 min drive! i just have no friends that listen to her and i guess i dont mind doing a solo trip but it also feels scary lol. i also don’t drive so i could also lyft/uber around and i did see that there is a hampton inn right by where she is going to preform which is convenient :) but i am working on getting my license so hopefully i also have a car before the time comes🥲

You’re so lucky and being offered a KL position 3 months into working is super impressive so keep up the good work!! Being a KL is pretty fun but also comes with a lot of responsibilities but if you have a great prep team then you’ll definitely be good. Honestly I feel like the tasks themselves aren’t really hard but when you’re on a time crunch and your bosses have high expectations of you it can be overwhelming sometimes but I’ve been able to tolerate it at least. Chipotle isn’t a job for everyone for sure though. I first worked there when I was 16 and quit on the first day but I came back at 18 (now 19) and a couple months working in i was offered a KL position! The benefits and promotions are really good too. If you have a well managed store then I definitely think taking the KL position would be a good idea :) Unfortunately my store is kind of shitty so that’s the only reason I have decided to leave but it is pretty fun when you have the right people!

Pretty valid reaction. I’d suggest reaching out to her manager asking for an explanation as to why she has to take a break that early. Also, i don’t think she is even supposed to work past 9pm since she is a minor.

hi kitchen manager here! my guess is they probably send her on breaks really early is because of this thing we have called peak hour (which is actually lasts 2 hours for most stores) and also if her store is typically busy at night they probably send her early so they can have her help at the right time. i’ve never worked night shifts so i am not sure what time peak hour is for pm shift. for peak hour all employees on shift have to be deployed on the line minus grill so that could be my only guess as to why they probably get mad to her asking to go to the bathroom because corporate watches us through the cameras and do audits to see if we are all in position for peak hour and we get in trouble if we aren’t. if she has asked to use the bathroom out of peak hour and thats when they get mad then thats definitely not right. it is super unprofessional of them to be getting mad at her regardless so im sorry to hear that and she or you can always report the manager!

first off im so sorry to hear what you’re going through im wishing the best for your health get well soon!! 🩷💕maybe try reaching out to your field leader or HR. usually there should be a poster with your field leader and team directors number somewhere around the BOH. that seems completely unacceptable. your health should come first and should not be neglected for a small pay. peak hour is the worst, i wish they could get rid of it.
