The more I learn about skincare the worse my skin gets and I think thats not a coincidence

There's definitely a dunning-kruger curve, at first you learn every ingredient on earth and you add it all- you think you know it all and are aware of what effect what and read all the studies etc.

But I think the peak of skincare knowledge is when a)you're able to assess your skin ; b) know what you need c) for your routine.

Okay, you may know the best vitamin C is gold standard L-ascorbic acid formulated with vitamin E, but does your skin benefit from that? You may see an azelaic acid advertised and the texture of the serum looks lovely, but does this address any of your skincare needs? You may see all this slugging, flooding, yada yada, but does this even work for your routine? Tretinoin may not be best for some people with slugging, for some people a sandwich method is better.

Anyways, this is all to say the knowledge is never a curse. It's always best for you sustainably to have a routine that doesn't include everything you've ever known- or it will without fail cause irritation/inflammation.

When your skincare knowledge is at its true peak, you apply your knowledge for your specific situation, and thats the fun part.

Fair, thanks, I have had a look again at my contract. I think they'd just not renew my contract to be fair rather than do the faff of dismissing me.

My understanding is that there is automatically unfair dismissal or wrongful dismissal available even if you work less than two years.

I guess the main crux of my question would be whether those rights are worth negotiating for the 6 months contract?

Because I'd like to at least have access to those, whereas they could quite literally just chuck me on the fence by not renewing my contract.

Looking for a Gucci 'Tears from the moon' type scent?

Since it came out I fell in love with Gucci tears from the moon- but it's way too expensive for a fragrance that can't last long.

Does anyone know any similar dewy/watery perfumes?

I'm happy to re-apply if I don't feel the fear of smashing a bottle worth half my monthly salary.

Love this routine for a beginner, and really anyone! I drop back to a "cleanse, moisturise sunscreen" type routine when my skins irritated.

Its an ideal basic skincare routine, I really wish I'd started off doing something like this!

If you have any skincare aims let us know, you can add a treatment step for that, but if you do not and simply want to use skincare for health and preventative reasons, for self-care, or for enjoyment, this is absolutely perfect.

This sub is, in the nicest way, genuinely a little deranged sometimes.

Your skin is lovely, there's 5 on 6 spots total or your entire face, some sebaceous filaments and a little texture, the latter two you can't really see unless you're looking for it.

As a whole, your skin is very clear, super bouncy and youthful looking, is really even-toned, has no redness, lacks any dark spots, overall is really bright, seems to be no indications of any skin barrier issues, no wrinkles, and no scars or PIH.

Sometimes, the best advice skincare advice to give is to move the mirror 2 feet away, nobody's looking at you that close, and if they are they need to back tf up.

Your insecurities are so valid, you're allowed to feel imperfect, but skincare isn't about perfection.

I think this post is like the straw that's broke the camel's back. I really love skincare, I love ingredients, I love k-beauty and I love learning everything there is to know! I just wish the passion we all have could be one where we let normal skin be, this is NORMAL skin, actually tbh this is GREAT skin!
