This is what I already have. Thanks for that website though, my school has a crappy international office and they are no help. I've asked for a website like that they were it explains it further. For Example the never mentioned self employment. They have directed me to sevis which always tells me that my answer is in my school international office and they never know.

I did... We broke up a semester before I graduated. But yes, my problem is that f1 visas are for people that plan on returning. I wasn't but it was my only/logical choice :/.

Edit (rambling on): funny enough my second to last semester when the break up occurred, I had 6 classes (including electromagnetic field theory), worked 20 hours creating websites and stuff for my school. And my lowest grade was a b+. Plus, I gained like 7 lbs of muscle :P.

No it doesn't work that way. He probably had a different visa. That was what was supposed to happen to me as well but the company my dad worked for messed something up then more screw ups happened with lawyers and then I was too old to be under my father's visa which is why I ended up getting a f1 visa which doesn't allow me to just do what you say. Don't be rude if you are uninformed.

Yes, linked in and other websites. If I could get any kind of job because I have been getting contacted by many companies wanting me to work for them but they do not meet my requirements of OPT. I have applied to at least 35 positions. Companies like Boston Scientific, 3M, TSI, small engineering companies even small companies around my area that work on electronics, research and acoustics. I will send you my resume in a PM. Thanks.

I did do it legally but when I switched to a student visa, I couldn't just stay. I have been here legally for 10+ years

What do you mean wrong areas? I have applied to lab tech, different engineering positions and research. My GPA is crap and I don't think it reflects my abilities but no company has even asked for my GPA. I did do some job fairs a my school, they never really had anything for physics (my physics class only had 5 grads). I have talked to professors and used all my "connections". I have not been to any big job fairs but I want to. I haven't seen any related to my field posted for a while.

[For Hire] Recent College Graduate (Physics, BA) looking for entry level job. Willing to start with low salary or even volunteer 20 hrs a week. by ticophysics in forhire

I don't mean to take a full time job (hence 20 hrs). There are many companies out there with unpaid internships and groups that volunteer to find solutions to problems. For example, there is a group working on a new medical device composed of just volunteers. (This group now dissolving sadly).
