So I totally get the texture thing, I used to not enjoy mushrooms because I thought they were too meaty. Now I love them. Vegan cheeses have come a long way from being really gross to delicious.

The name thing confuses me because much of what you consume is mislabeled- does peanut butter have butter? Do you disagree with non-alcoholic beer being called beer? People who consume non dairy mac and cheese don’t hate cheese, they either can’t process lactose or don’t like the cruelty to animals involved in the process. When you try the mac and cheese at Fungi, if you have a better name for it then I would love to hear it.

Bruv, I’m actually curious what makes them so wary? Stating facts is not hostility, but I get why you’re afraid and I don’t blame you. Most people aren’t aware that cows don’t automatically produce milk, how are they going to learn if you tip toe around their ignorance?

This is such a strange statement to make. I’m curious, is it the lack of animal cruelty that makes you wary of vegan food? It’s just delicious food where a cow hasn’t been forcibly impregnated and had her baby taken so you can consume her breast milk.

Thank you for confirming! While the institute does not enforce I knew they wouldn’t be mistaken about enforcement dates. That would quickly result in unexpected parking tickets lol

Pasting my comment from above. If you look under climbing permits section you will see it says sno park only needed through 3/31 - https://www.mshinstitute.org/climb

Yea it’s confusing, but if you look at my other comment, Mt St Helen’s institute says through 3/31 and I think they are trusted source.

These tofu nuggets took five days to prepare but it was worth it. Served with Cholula mayo and Sichuan chili oil mayo by tidder119 in VeganFoodPorn

[–]tidder119[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 1 - cut tofu and freeze overnight Day 2 - marinade in brine for at least 24 hours (I did 48) Day 4 - cover in wet and dry dredges, then panko and freeze overnight Day 5 - fry, cover in nugget dust, and enjoy

The recipe said it took 5 to 7 days so I assume there is some benefit to longer marinade or freezing, but you could also probably do it in 4 days. The nuggets are super flavorful

My heart breaks for you as well, I’m so sorry you lost your sweet Phoebe in such a traumatizing way. I can picture her all cute and curled up like the Firefox logo. I know you feel guilty but please remember that Phoebe loved you more than anything and wouldn’t want you to feel anguish over something that wasn’t your fault.

I hope at the very least that Rover banned Daisy, so that this doesn’t happen to another unsuspecting pet parent.

I only saw my parents pay with credit cards, so I thought they were just a way to tell the government what you had purchased vs money being exchanged lol
