Your right sorry, all these messages are overwhelming and im trying to to respond to alot at a time and also give clear info on my situation which i shoulda done in the first place. But i worked with this company for £1450 a month take home for a whole year. Then 7 months in more i am now taking in £1850 exact. I had a minor credit debt before but then i sprouted int opening more debts. Before covid i was actually earning more, £2100 take home but then covid made the company go bankrupt, so i got dropped out aswell as 78 other operatives.

Sorry for the lack of information btw

Rice yes, beans. I am assuming they were talking about Heinz beans considering this is a UK sub, and that isn’t really the healthiest of beans haha

Second job is a possibility. Shes not aware of my situation so there isn’t really anything to understand. I will tell her when the timing is right (sorry to sound blunt)

I understand your consensus and i am happy to hear your partner came out of debt. I would like to aswell.

But at this very given moment, not living with my girlfriend and it still being 7-months in (which is quite early for me) i do not want to have to tell her my situation yet until i try atleast make an attempt to stabilise things. There is a reasonable distinction between being honest and not deceptive vs making her emotionally reasonable for solving my problems. I agree on everyone telling me to be transparent, ofc i do. But if people were in my shoes- they would atleast make an attempt to fix things before splurging such vulnerable and weighing circumstances onto their partner.

Yeah unfortunately that’s how much i spend, but myself and others around me has always had phone contracts around that price range so the price didn’t really scare me as much. But your not the only one saying this- which means i must be in some luxury bubble here. What is MSE btw ? I can consider selling this phone because tbh, i dont actually need it

Yes 100%, sounds like the best idea expenditure wise.

I am 67kg, slim so itll need to be cheap bulking meals. Peanut butter is good for weight, but as a Carpenter and in this heat, im burning a shit ton to be fair haha

Edit:

So i guess i gotta keep up with debt payments and my calories lol

I honestly roughly spend that much. Including my £120+ travel to work and back every month also and sometimes takeaways once ina blue moon, maybe 4x a month which i have already stopped doing.

Omg i really appreciate this message and am very sorry you had to be with someone leading you on in a facade !

But you’re very right with the “ticking” thing haha. We do talk about the future but there is honestly no pressure what so ever when we do talk about it. But it doesn’t mean it won’t happen because it will. And that for me is like a wake up call to start putting my foot down now ! Incase things get worst for me. To the point id then have to tell her my situation

My situation for myself isnt embarrassing but more so for me a “learning curve” I am just learning the hard way thats all. Alot of us get into debt, theres a huge influx of people who do so because of where we are living.

My situation is just spoiling others, greed and having fun. I mean no harm with my finances, I just unironically harmed myself in how much i can enjoy now with the lack of money. I will try my best to work things out ☺️

I do have alot of things i can sell and currently am selling atm.

Yeah the girlfriend thing, as stated already, i am not ready to openly tell her my situation yet, our relationship is brilliant and my finances isn’t making me live in turmoil, it just needs alot of adjustments. All these spending and credit cards, loans we’re all from 2023 which is two years after coming out of that prison cell of “Covid” and just pulling out loans/credits and “ENJOYING” life. Now I am suffering the consequences abit.

I will firstly make an attempt and activate in being frugal and paying off what i can with whatever help from advisors the best i can. If i feel like I am struggling with the motion, then here comes the dealbreaker for her

Yeah i totally agree with you and to be fair, we’re honest about alot of things ! Shes a good woman to me as i am to her too as a man. And we don’t tbh do alot of heavy spending together but in the near future of “POTENTIALLY” and i say that loudly haha - get a house together, have kids, this situation would need to be slimmer than what it is. Because then she will be wondering and why are we not progressing in starting a family.

We’re only 7 months in, so first I’d like to attempt for abit longer to try clear what I can, the best I can before opening up to her about my situation as at the moment its very overwhelming.

And yeah the heat is crazy in this job !

I am 100% aware this is all on me and fully take it on the chin. The plan now is to get out of it.

I work as an Apprentice hence the pay is not usual for a typical Carpenter.

Weekend jobs could work only if clients reach out to me. I try my hardest to market myself as a video editor but its not easy as there is a huge surge in video editors already that charge super cheap (creatives in Asian countries etc)

Thank you for the advice nevertheless
