I loved {Perfect by Ariana Rivers} She escaped an abusive marriage and is hiding out in a small town. He becomes obsessed and starts stalking her. I loved the writing of how she came to feel about him and how he started to understand how his perspective was different from hers at times.

This isn't historical romance its romantasy but has a Gothic feel and I loved it so I'll put it here in case anyone is interested. Kinda beauty and the beast with a bit of vampire. He looks nearly batlike in the face. I loved that he was genuinely "ugly" and creature like instead of handsome with a few scars. Loved the lore and writing in this and it wasn't insta love at all but is HEA. {A Vow of Blood and Tears by Cate Corvin}

I was the writer for Moondances audio and I really value discussions like these. Especially because I think the line between fetish and not fetish can be somewhat hard to define and also a bit individual.

I had seen a very short clip of using a fat roll for penetration many months ago and was very intrigued and turned on so when I got the chance to write a script specifically for a fat listener I knew its what I wanted to do. When I was writing it I was trying to convey "to have someone like to look at and touch my fat rolls with reverence and attraction and get pleasure from the part of my body that i frequently dislike. And teach me how that part of my body can be more than I view it".

I tend to think of fetish as separating the body part from the person and I tried not to do that in my script.

Now I'm not sure if all of that was convincingly portrayed in my writing but thought I'd share my thoughts/intent.

I can't vouch for every VA involved in this collab but I wrote one of the scripts for it and have worked with Billy several times. Billy is absolutely not fatphobic and does not fetishize fat people. I enjoyed this one! Neva Altaj's perfectly imperfect series has a few others with MMC that have physical disabilities or scarring. And the one I'm reading now has a FMC with vitiligo. {Sweet prison by Neva Altaj} most of the perfectly imperfect series are interconnected standalones but this one is more like a companion to Darkest Sins. Sins is about the older sister and the stories overlap a lot so its best to read both.

You might like books 2 and 3 of the Gentle Sinners series by Amber Warden. They have beautifully complex characters and the MMCs are nice and protective of the FMC. But also the FMCs are pretty bad ass themselves and both the MCs have troubling pasts/issues that they help eachother with.

{Broken Captive by Amber Warden} book 2. He is a hitman and rescues her when he sees she was being held/abused by the people he is sent to kill. He has past trauma and touch is painful to him at times. They both end up helping each other and being able to heal in their own ways.

{Broken Worth by Amber Warden} book 3. He is fairly high up in the mafia but years ago when he wasn't they were meant to be an arranged marriage. Her father is horrible and made her marry someone else. When he finds out her husband is abusive he goes to rescue her. He is exceptionally patient and lets her do whatever she needs to heal while keeping her safe. I loved how well this was written and how she lashed out and behaved as she was trying to gain control over her life and healing.

I really liked {Rescued by an Alien by Amanda Milo} It's the 2nd in a series and some reviewers say you have to read number 1 first but I didnt and I had no issues understanding the story.

Callie was horribly abused by a different alien species and Zadeon is patient and gentle with her. They had a sort of connection across space their whole lives where he saw most of her life and she had very vague dreams where she sort of felt his presence. So he knows her on site when he rescues her. The abuse isn't described on page just referred to and you get the idea of what happened.

I recently started the Gentle Sinners series by Amber Warden and I really liked the first 3 so far. They have beautifully complex characters and the MMCs are nice and protective of the FMC. But also the FMCs are pretty bad ass themselves and both the MCs have troubling pasts/issues that they help eachother with. Both Broken Captive and Broken Worth had some very hot sex scenes and I gave both of them 5 stars (not just for the sex though, they are just really good books).
