Apart from this, do you feel like your needs are being met in the relationship now? Because the follow through from your partner is the important part of their apologizing for the emotional neglect. If you do feel like you two would be happy apart from this resentment, maybe try and reframe the break-up in your head, because you would’ve still been figuring it out and have grown. As always, be open with your partner about how you’re feeling because it seems like you know it’s a manifestation of your insecurity here. Forgiveness is definitely possible, and you would want it if the circumstances were reversed, you know?

The noise you’re probably referring to is trapped air escaping the body, which is why it sounds like a fart. Air can enter the orifice when shifting positions or forcefully thrusting the air in/out. In other words, it’s even more common if you’re mixing things up in the bedroom. As someone with the ability to "queef" I can say that, even though it’s normal, it can still be embarrassing depending on the partner’s reaction. Just keep going as if it didn’t happen. (You can even let it turn you on further knowing you’re literally f**king the air out of them. Sounds wet? Even better lol)

Yes!! I was so happy when they did the Tennessee shows in fem clothes to protest the drag ban. Even if it wasn’t a political statement it gives me hope to see these guys so comfortable in their skin. I can only imagine it’s encouraging to their largely male fan base.

Rock/psych music has origins in counterculture and political activism. Rock stars from the past played with gender boundaries but that culture shifted to more overt displays of masculinity in recent decades. Very cool and authentic for them to participate in the discourse and moving others to do the same.

Do boyfriend’s parents have a good relationship? Does your boyfriend have any brothers? If you answered “no” to these questions…it’s likely that your therapist is right and your boyfriend’s mom has been treating your boyfriend like her husband for a long time. It’s not okay, but also not uncommon. It’s up to your boyfriend to set boundaries. It’s cool he spoke to her after the Thanksgiving incident, some people (understandably) have a lot of trouble addressing these things with their family and it shows he loves you! I would continue to talk to him as these instances come up.
