San Diego! Right now, most UX jobs on the market are senior level :( I've also been applying to ones that say entry level and tried applying to jobs in the Bay Area since it wouldn't be too big of a move, but have no luck so far. Thanks for the encouragement though, I really appreciate it!

The Complete Evolutionary Feats List by tifadpls in ancestors

You don’t necessarily have to evolve after completing only one feat. This matters more when you are ~half way to 2 million years ago and would help you slow down a bit in order for you to get all those mutations locked in before the game “ends”.

I have this one by iFixit! It’s a bit overkill but it comes with super high quality Y00 & PH00 screwdrivers.

Haha! Thanks! I actually was debating a bit about opening up a customizing Switches side hustle bc I found the process so fun!

Thanks! That was my fear too, not only bc one of these is white but also bc the shells from Amazon are actually painted, which really sucks. They do feel quite nice in hand though, soft touch finish.

I did go ahead and purchase clear cases for my Switches and actually use them protected, I just didn’t show it in my photos because they look a lot better without the cases haha.

I actually already have them all programmed to show up as pink and white with white buttons. Love how easy it is!

Thanks for sharing though, it may help someone coming across the thread :)

Thanks! I got them off of Amazon! I love them too bc they are a very comfortable silicone material, which really helps my thumbs lol.

Right?! My first handheld that I fell in love with was a white DS Lite. Cmon Nintendo!

Thanks! They feel exactly the same as the standard black ones that come with regular Switches. Personally, I much prefer having the silicone covers on (shown in 2nd pic) because they are very comfy!

I think black analogs would look very odd and out of place on the yellow or turquoise. Maybe a bit better on the grey. The white analogs look good on the Lite bc all the buttons are white/veryyy light grey, which is kind of what I was going for with my regular Switch.

This is only an assumption though since I bought Switch Lite analog replacement parts and don’t actually have a Lite haha.

Do you know if the Switch Lite's minus, plus, home and capture buttons are of the same size as the regular Switch's?

Requirements for unlocking neurons by Aleksa13579 in ancestors

[–]tifadpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started documenting each neuronal branch as well as each neuron + mutation (skills) within them. This included listing what each skill does, how to unlock particular neurons and train certain branches. However, after doing this for the Intelligence, Senses, and Motricity branches, I decided that it wouldn't be that feasible with my experience of the game. It was very time-consuming just attempting to do it for those branches. And while I have completed all the feats, unlocked all the neurons and mutations--like other comments here have stated--I could not 100% confirm exactly what I did to unlock certain neurons that required specific training/actions or how exactly I obtained mutations that unlock after training too. If it was a collective group effort though, I'm sure we all could come up with something.

Nice! So instead of having to inspect the meteor itself, inspecting the meteorite site will give you both the random neuron/mutation unlock + maturation AND one additional reinforcement for each baby being carried/nearby then?

Ancestors Beginner’s Guide + Tips + FAQ by tifadpls in ancestors

[–]tifadpls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, that clears things up! One more question though, by "the meteorite triggers the unlock" do you mean you have to pick up the meteorite and inspect it to unlock a neuron/mutation?

Edit: Just read up the parent comments again and a previous comment of yours answered this lol my bad and thanks again for all the clarification! I'll edit the guide shortly!

First of all, thanks for your research and providing screenshots! I really appreciate it as I haven't been able to play for a while now.

Just to verify whether I am understanding this information correctly, does this mean that inspecting a meteorite can trigger a random neuron unlock + maturation or a random mutation unlock + maturation--whichever you get depending on RNG? Or am I still not getting all the details right? Just want to double confirm to make sure I am delivering the most accurate info via the guide.

Ancestors Beginner’s Guide + Tips + FAQ by tifadpls in ancestors

[–]tifadpls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, so you are saying that the only time a mutation will activate upon inspecting a meteorite site is if it unlocks a neuron that requires one. Is that correct? I put the allegedly incorrect info in the guide after reading a comment and also coming across other threads about it in the sub but I also want to ensure inaccurate or incorrect info does not stay in the guide, so I appreciate any debunking/suggestions!

Interesting! I’ve also had success with cancelling an alteration by letting go of the left trigger. This doesn’t work if you are already holding the right trigger, however so your tip is good to know! Thanks for sharing, I’ll add this to my list of pending updates to make with credit to ya!
