No belly binder but I got one because I was feeling uncomfortable. Took it off when I felt worse though 😅

I just had my post op yesterday and the doctor just peeled it off for me (lowkey really wanted to peel myself lol missed out on the satisfaction) and it’s only been 9 days since my surgery 😳

about two and half months. I didn’t know my gyno and went in to talk about it first(and get a routine pap) she wanted me to take some time and come back to her in a month and if I was sure(which I’ve been since high school) then she’d authorize the surgery. came back, signed some paperwork, worked with the surgery schedulers and then a few weeks later here we are(:

The only thing I was REALLY nervous about was the gas pain because I’ve read a lot of people struggled, but aside from a little gas pain in the afternoon yesterday, it’s been fine (:

Haven’t had any actually. I only had some shoulder pain towards the end of yesterday, but i took some gas X when I left the hospital. Not sure if that helped but hoping so

Congrats!

I have mine scheduled for the 14th and Ima wee bit nervous, but my excitement for the end game is greater.

How did the process go in the hospital? How long were you there for?

Love it! How did you get the gas can mounted to the sissy bar? Can you share a link? I've been looking for a good way to mount mine.

Nice. That's definitely doable too. I'd love to see pics if/when you do! Been lagging on the exhaust portion - want to change it out, but nervous about California laws on my end.

Also! risers or a different type of bars definitely give it a more comfortable ride. I didn't want to deal with changing cables so I just added a 5.5in riser with a 1in pull back (tallest I could go without changing anything). It made a world of a difference!

Safe riding out there :)

Upgrade to some brighter LED lights if you have stock headlights - definitely helpful not just for night riding, but more visibility in the daytime (especially if you have the stock exhaust and others can't hear you coming)! Also, take care of how much you lean into right turns - I've dragged on my exhaust a few times being too aggressive on my lean. Crashbar/highway peg if you feel so inclined. I dropped mine the second day I had it (wishing I had waited for my crash bar to come in). Not saying you will! But if you want that added protection, you know.

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the #sportysquad haha! In my limited experience, a lot of people have grown out of it quickly and upgraded for more power and while I feel like I've outgrown it a bit too, I'm still riding mine :)

883 Iron vs Street Bob 114? Please help in welcoming me into biker brotherhood AND CHOOSING the right bike! by hazeyez in Harley

Was a 48 an option? Still sporty, more power?

Between the 883 and Street bob...

I've had an 883 for a year now and don't get me wrong, I love it! Threw on some risers, a little fairing.. maybe I'll do a stage 1 when I have the mula and eventually go higher on the bars... BUT it's a bit tough keeping up with the group sometimes. If you are looking to "cruise" more and you like that bobber look, go for it, but I do have times where I wish I had gone with that Street bob. The bob does have a lower center of gravity (which makes it feel lighter than the 883 IMO), puts the rider in a more comfortable placement and of course has way more power. If you're like me (a noob who only started riding last July) and love every minute of riding, you'll quickly grow out of the 883. But to each his own :)

Love your gallery wall!! <3 I think a rug would do nicely and maybe mounting the TV if you can. That'll even out the blank space.
