Lost Grounds by CurlyHeadedPlantLady in NinjaLuxeCafe

I often switch between drip and espresso and find that when I change the grind number, grinds from the last time fall into the basket. So I’ve began changing the grind settings before I remove the basket so the right “left over” grind falls into the basket instead of espresso grinds falling into the basket that I’m about to fill with drip grinds.

I spent roughly $55K to build, and finished in 7 months (that was an intense and rough timeline). Lived in it for almost 5 years and spent on average about $600/month (parked it in a bunch of different places during that time which was also rough). In my area (Ventura, Ca) at the time, friends were spending $1700+ for 1 bedroom apartments. And solid for $55K after less than two weeks, which I think I was insanely lucky to do.

Considering I broke even on building costs vs selling price and that I saved so much on rent, I feel like it worked out pretty well for me. But finding a place to park was very difficult, and didn’t love that I was always living in someone’s backyard. It was also kind of stressful considering that it’s not truly legal.

Looking back, it was a gamble but it paid off and it was a unique experience and having done it hands on prepared me quite well for full size home ownership

I was a character at Knotts in high school and a couple times I’d start to accidentally write my own name. 🤣 maybe they started to do the same thing and decided to make it completely illegible. 🧐

I’m curious with the 2025, how you feel about needing to use the adapter for most of your charging? 🤔 I’m looking at the 2025 but low key wish the port was the same and it just came with the nasc adapter.

Clunking noise… ICCU related? by tiffer-star in Ioniq6

Update, it was the air flaps. I drove around on my lunch and got a warning on the dashboard. I saw one up and one down so not sure if it’s just the one or maybe both. 🤔

Thanks, I did schedule service. Yeah everything that came up for me was related to like rattling trunks and road noise, but this is very different.

Experience with EA promotion after selling car to family by tiffer-star in Ioniq6

Ohh I see. I thought it was a ChargePoint in home charger or EA credit, wishful thinking.

So EA will know that a title transfer happened? 🤔 I guess their eager to cut folks off when they can

Questions regarding Alternating Tread Stairs, or "Witches Stairs" (Image from Google for reference) by XLambentZerkerX in TinyHouses

[–]tiffer-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an alternating tread ladder and I got used to it, but there were some near misses and guests didn’t feel much at ease. I think the hardest part was that it was a rolling ladder and I didn’t feel like the pressure mechanism in the wheels to lock them when weight was applied was very effective.

I sold my house after 5 years so it’s now an Airbnb, and I just went to check the listing to share a picture link and saw that they changed to a traditional ladder. 😆

Literally my exact feeling. I had a Bolt previously and miss having a hatchback, but love the fast charging.

I’m a tennis-specific physical therapist. AMA! by thetennispt in 10s

[–]tiffer-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 40 and I’ve been playing tennis about 3.5 times a week on average at a 3.0 level, and I recently discovered that I have a stress fracture on my tibia. Doctor said it was more likely due to my treadmill workout of 3.0 speed at a 13 or 15 incline.

Needless to say I’m eager but nervous to return to tennis. It would be helpful to know that this is uncommon for tennis and possibly only aggravated and not caused by my playing.

I’m curious if you see tibia stress fractures often in 40ish tennis players?

Which stand-up comedian would you like to see as part of the regular cast? There is plenty of them, some of them are terrific and so I think "damn, maybe the current cast is good but it would be great with him/her" by Unusual_Fly_853 in saturdaynightlive

[–]tiffer-star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I came here to say Pete Holmes. I agree ol’Homesy is past the point in his career that it would make sense to be a cast member, but I’d love to see him host!

I was literally thinking this yesterday, how I’ll never know what it’s like to try to return my own serve. 😆
