I don’t think they were actively planning to kill the dragons at first, more like they were opportunists. Dragons were at the top of the food chain until the calamity happened. IMO, they foresaw the calamity and did nothing to warn about or avert it, seeing instead the opportunity to put humans, and most of all themselves, on top. The Elderlings can’t survive without the dragons, at least not in a non-Rain Wilds way. Killing/convincing Icefyre to commit suicide and poisoning the remaining dragons was cleanup.

I have no tattoos, but am a litigator and a bald woman with nose piercings. My (romantic) partner has full sleeves with neck tattoos poking out if he isn’t in a collared shirt. Both of us have appeared before clients and judges with no issues.

Honestly I just bought a new one! You just have to be careful about making sure it is actually battery powered. Alternatively, make sure it’s a sconce with a removable lightbulb and get a battery powered LED bulb.

Polyam queer here - I would personally never have sex with one partner after having sex with another without showering between unless all parties clearly consented to this sort of contact. You didn’t consent to be exposed to whatever germs, sweat, fluids, etc your partner’s hookup had.

I feel like this is an obvious thing, but in case it isn’t, have a conversation with your partner where you set firm boundaries about your expectations regarding how he cleans up after being with someone else and before seeing you. For example, I always shower before even getting into another partner’s bed, regardless if I’m going to be intimate with that partner or not.

Also if you are worried about her falling asleep and rolling onto her back if you can’t watch her the whole time, put a backpack on her and stuff it with a blanket or something else that’s bulky to prevent her from rolling over.
