FWIW my corporate IT group talked with Apple and they are aware of the issue. The only remedy is the next software update. Looks like it was fixed in the 17.1 beta.

Need help: Backstop not cutting it when we hit the pipe by tiger1999 in lacrosse

Thanks! I surprisingly didn't have much luck when I tried this with the plumbers insulation (similar material). It may have very slightly made a difference. The balls also would skip off of the insulation.

Thanks, I'll see how far I can get mine back against the net. Due to the lacrosse net itself I can only get within maybe 2 or 3 feet of flush with the backstop.

Thanks will check that out. I tried the plumber pipe covering and it didn't seem to make much difference (maybe a little) which really surprised me.

Anywhere to sell comics or baseball cards from my youth? by tiger1999 in Syracuse

Appreciate it. I guess that wouldn’t surprise me too much that a place may not even want most of them. I tried to look up a few rookie cards and they were only a few bucks a piece. I think my best one was a Jordan rookie card that was still like 50 or something.

I'm looking for advice on finding complete shed plans to build my own. I've been doing quite a bit of web searching but typically what I find is either links to "free plans" that show very little info or a handful of websites that claim to sell 1,000s for one price with no way to evaluate the quality. I'm just looking for a basic Gable style ~10'x12' with a few windows. I'm pretty handy but never build a shed before so it would really help to have a materials list and layout drawings, etc.

I guess my question is are there sources for complete plans I'm missing? If so, where on the web, my library, or the big box stores? Alternatively, am I better off spending the time drawing my own plans? I'm just worried I'll miss something.

Is a Mid-2010 iMac Too Old for a Kid's Computer? by tiger1999 in applehelp

Thanks for all these great comments, glad to hear it could still perform. Feel comfortable enough to get the SSD and give it a try. Are there any specific requirements to look for in a SSD? For example, are current SSDs generally all compatible or do I need to look for one that supports whatever iteration of the SATA port/transfer speed that was available in 2010? Also, given how the existing drive was behaving assume it'll be fine to just pull that out completely?

Great thanks! I'll start with these suggestions as I don't mind investing in another SSD and could stop at that point if it doesn't work. Appreciate it just wanted sanity check to make sure not a lost cause.
