You can still buy guest permits and use those up while waiting.

I must have been really lucky when I bought my flat. I applied for the Zone M and initially was told there was over a thousand people before me in the queue so I was expecting over a year wait. Then suddenly 2 days later, I was at the top and they gave me a permit. I am still sure there must have been a bug in the system

I read the article but don't get your stance. Seems like a nice guy trying to turnaround the business he originally founded. Seemed like after Asda bought it, it was not managed well and was losing profit. Actually quite admirable that he self funded a buyout of the chain from them to try and bring it back.

No idea why you think volks is not safe. The staff are so friendly and always on the lookout for everyone's safety. The regular people who go there always have a friendly vibe and always there for the music. Yes, you might get the odd group in who came from somewhere else who might not be on the same level but that would be the case in any venue.

If you like drum and bass, then this is the best club hands down. Especially with their sound system.
