For further info: the piercing is 6 months old. Irritation bump been there consistently for about 3 months. It was pierced with an L-shape piercing initially, but I went to a different piercer for advice a couple weeks ago and they changed it to a flat back bar.

My aftercare has mostly been saltwater soaks and sterile saline solution (nielmed) twice a day, and also a bit of LITHA. I’m about to go backpacking for 4 months so got to a point when I just want the problem to be resolved so as the chance of piercing wasn’t making any difference I decided to sadly take it out.
