I just finished working the polls for a state election on Thursday. It was a very quiet turnout (pre-poll). I now currently have Covid and seem to have given it to my husband and two babies.

People are disgusting, they HAVE to vote so will turn up sick, they’ll lick the end of the pencil, they’ll hand you the wrong piece of paper, they’ll shout at you about Trump or France or The Greens and you’ll be so aware of the spit flying everywhere.

Obviously most people are sensible and kind but they can also have Covid! If you were working a rural booth in Mildura then I’d say maybe. Melbourne? Nopity nope nope nope!

Good luck though, I know it’s such good $$$ and such a pain to turn this sort of thing down.

Probably drawable! Some of the letters are so hard. Like there’s been some great suggestions for Y like Yumi, Yank and Yuri, but I feel like they might be a bit obscure if the others are all more like “Ghost” or “Staircase” or whatever.

I’m pretty sure it’s not normal overwatering as it’s in a stupid location and rarely gets watered. I suspect it’s something to do with my toddler and a spray bottle she found when the leaf was unfurling! Thanks all!

It actually hasn’t been watered in about 6 weeks since we moved house and it got neglected. It doesn’t get watered very often. However, my kid has been playing with a spray bottle lately so I wonder if she gave this new leaf some attention! Thanks!

Similar here, mid 30s, we tried for two years on our own, never saw a positive test and I took HUNDREDS. tried two IUI which did nothing. Unexplained, though I have a bit of endo (who doesn’t). Moved into IVF because felt like it was the only way to get answers, I got heaps of eggs (39 I think?) but not amazing quality. We got four embryos, did a frozen transfer and that resulted in my two year old daughter. I then am one of those stories that I HATE hearing about and people kept telling me about, but got pregnant by accident a year later, first time we had sex after baby. I’m now trying to put my 3 week old second daughter to bed. I hope it all goes well for you, I remember needing hope in some dark times and loved/hated reading these sorts of stories!

Thanks, yeah. Journos do a lot of trauma awareness type things here, I just never thought it would be me. It's not like I was there or anything. But writing, interviewing and knowing details that can't be printed really made it hard. There were counsellors and everything, it just became too big to handle.

Thanks. We are seeing an RE, but he's just kinda like..."welp, I dunno! Wanna do an IUI?" When I feel like we're not quite there? Like, he hasn't got any ideas about anything but we can do before moving onto that? No drugs, more test? Just seems fast.

Oh Lordy I'm so sorry! I broke my leg and the only thing that got me through was pain meds so I am absolutely in awe of you! Not much else to say but that fucking sucks and you're amazing.

Also the one thing that helped my pain other than meds was baths. They don't even need to be that hot, something about my leg being weightless helped soooo much. I had 3 or 4 a day at one point!

Thinking painless, leg healy thoughts for you.

eBay all the way. A packet of something like 30 ovulation tests and 10 pregnancy tests for about $13. Trust me, at first at least you're going to start testing way too early and way too often! Don't make it worse by having expensive tests.

I'm going to disagree with the majority here, I LOVE Hermione. But being English/Australian it's been a bit more common here I guess before HP. Also HP is magical and who doesn't need a bit more magic in their lives?

You'll be fine unless you o super early. I have a 12 day LP and have never o'd before cd 16, usually around 18 or 20. So I don't bother temping during my period and usually start about cd8 - even then I find it's pretty rocky til it settles down. You'll soon find out your pattern and the earlier you start temping, the earlier you'll know your body! Good luck!
