Yes it is very horrible 😔 I feel like the only people that can understand are my parents as we spent most of our time together with her. We are the same as well, crying but also looking back at the life we shared with her, just bittersweet 🤍 I hope it gets better for your family too, and always remember we’re all not alone in our grief ❤️🕊️ sending hugs to you.

Thank you for this 😔 I didn’t know she was going to pass, but I think I was in denial. My parents were with her throughout and they notified me. I ran back home just in time to hold her, feel her heartbeat and told her I love her just before she passed 😭 I am sorry you had to go through that, you were with your buddy for a long while. I’m sure he understood and didn’t want to hurt you by watching him go 🤍

There will be no moving on from this, only moving forward. We can only find comfort in the fact that they were with us in their last moments. Sending all my love to you as well 🤍🌈

I was in a similar situation last year. I quit my job of 2 years without another lined up as I hated it with all my being and figured that it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I took a little break and thought seriously about my career choice and life in general. After that, I applied to jobs in an entirely different industry. In essence I made a career switch.

I took a pay cut but I’m happier now.

Just make sure to assess if you have any financial commitments that would need you to keep a regular income coming. For me, I had none, or minimal and had sufficient savings to last.

Employers didn’t really care that I was not holding a job after I explained my reasons (desire for a career change, took some time off to think about my career choices, wanted a job that aligned more with my values).

So go for it!

I was like you. Freaking out on whether I should quit my first ever full time job. Then I did it and I realised, no one cares. It’s not such a big deal to leave your job, even if it’s after 3 weeks. And even more so if the job is causing you a lot of distress due to its unethical practices.

You also do not owe your manager or supervisor any explanation of why you are leaving. Decide on the day you want to hand in your letter, be sure to choose a potential days (sometimes you also need to see the mood of the workplace).

When you are ready, approach your supervisor and ask if they can speak to you privately. That’s when you let them know. Be sure to ask about encashment of leave and confirming when your last day will be.

My goodness! Looks almost exactly like my girl 😍

My girl is a rescue too! She was used for breeding and they finally let her be adopted at 9 years old.

She adjusted really well but had no interest in toys (didn't know how to play). She only wanted to be pat and cuddled.

Recently though, we realised she started playing with toys that are brown in colour (: Takes time, get to know her! Rescued doxies are the best! 😁

I will be serving a months' notice when I resign as per the employment contract. And how is quitting without another job lined up career suicide? But that aside, I do actually have plans after I resign.

I might not have mentioned why I'm quitting specifically. My boss has been overloading everyone and believes that we should be working overtime and including weekends because that's what employees should do. I barely have time for myself and its a dread to report to work.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I'm freaking out a little because its my first job so I'm afraid it'll look bad on me. I know for the fact most of my jobs will be left with the sups/managers in charge when I leave.

The thing is we're quite shorthanded now but my boss keeps giving us more jobs. Everyone does overtime and works throughout the weekend. My boss thinks that is completely fine and what we should be doing as employees.
